RobbieI’m a conservative, a biker, a Veteran, a professional writer, and a blogging enthusiast in the heart of uber-Liberal Austin, TX.

I’m an opinionated sonofabitch. I’m hardly ever politically correct — I won’t accept race, gender, age, religion, or political ideology as an excuse for stupidity, and I’ll call bullshit every time I see it.

Since the terror attacks of 9/11 I’m seeing that the most asinine and disgusting of the stupidity is pooling on the grounds of the political Left. I’m appalled to watch the Liberal Left and our main stream media side with and make apologies for our terrorist enemies…all the while pretending that they support our troops. Hence, most of my posts are a smack-down of those two groups (who often are one-and-the-same).

I started UrbanGrounds back in September 2004 as a place to rant and make observations about the days events and the seemingly endless Liberal idiocy that I am surrounded by.

My Background

I’m a formally educated writer (BS in Professional Writing) and have worked as a technical writer in the software and Defense industry for the last 12 years.

Prior to becoming a technical writer, I was a Combat Medic in the US Army. I still have a special respect and affinity for the men and women who continue to serve. You won’t find any anti-war or anti-soldier bullshit in here. I’m unabashedly pro-military. The good and heroic things that our soldiers do everyday is often ignored, under reported, or distorted by our liberal MFM.

I’m a native Texan, who has lived most of my life in El Paso, Houston, and now Austin. Even though I only lived there for my formative high school years, I still call Conroe, TX my hometown.

Please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions on anything I write.

  1. Don’t know you, but I found myself on your blogroll. Thanks. I’ve added you to mine. You can find my email addy at my blog: thinksink.

  2. Mr. Jeff,
I like your milblogging and thots on sundry outdoorsy activities. I’m blogrolling UrbanGrounds on my blog at Voice in the Wilderness, a conservative blog serving Austin and Central Texas.

  3. Thanks Jeff and Travis.

I’ve started reading both of your blogs, and am enjoying your writing and perspectives.

Travis, it’s always a bonus (and a rarity) to find another conservative blogger in the Austin area. You’ve both been added to my blog roll of daily reads.

  4. Ooooh. A plethora of conservative Austin bloggers. I’ve hit the jackpot. :-)

  5. Hello Robbie from Charlie Medical Company 215th Brigade Support Bn.
I am a former resident of the People’s Republic of Austin. I was a nurse who joined the army in 2000. (Prior service 1988-1992 where I was an Arabic linguist with the SF).
If you are a former 91Bravo you would now be a 91Whiskey. They are now learning Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3)
Give a holler if you’re ever up in this godforsaken bit of wasteland called Killeen.

  6. hi, i just wanted to say great blog. i am a pro death penalty advocate. we voted for you on our board. a member there, blakely, was responsible for getting all the members to participate. my special thanks to blakely who is saddly missed. please make contact, blakely..ilene

  7. First off the site kicks ass, you will never find a site like this in California, I am suprised my internet provider allowed yours through.

I cannot wait to catch up at the reunion, from the looks of things we share a great deal in common. I guess you can take the boy out of Conroe, but you couldn’t beat the Conroe out of the man.

    Wayne Altman

    • wow look at this narrow minded good old boys club

      • Another nutbag that is ok with the liberals bankrupting California…probably on welfare.
I’d take a good ole boy over a weak ass liberal anyday. At least they work for a living, protect their homes and families and don’t suck the governments tit every chance they get.

  8. Wayne — nice to hear from an old classmate. I understand being an American-loving conservative in a sea of anti-American liberalism; I live in Austin, afterall.

You’d be surprised by some of the good conservative blogs in CA.

Try Annika’s Journal (she’s a gun-loving, hot blonde, conservative, law-school student) and the California Conservative blog.

  9. Hi Robbie:

I have enjoyed reading your blog posts for a few months now. You have an interesting perspective on things, and although I do not agree with everything that you say, I do enjoy looking at things from as many apsects as possible.

I’m interested in knowing what your take on the soldiers that raped and killed the young Iraqi girl and her family is. I know that you are a big supporter of our troops, and also a big advocate of the death penalty, so I just wondered what your stand on this issue was. I thought it could make for an interesting discussion. Anyway, thanks for your time. I look forward to hearing from you. :-)

  10. Vick,

Thanks for reading and for writing —

As for my opinion on the soldiers in question in that NPR article? Well…at this point those soldiers are alleged to have committed those crimes.

From the way that you phrased your question, it appears that you have already made up your mind that these soldiers are guilty. I can understand why you might think that…the media in have already judged them to be guilty and are portraying them that way.

Until they are proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be guilty, I will give these brave Soldiers the benefit of the doubt and believe them to be innocent.

If they are proven to be guilty, I’ll condemn them then. But not a moment before.

  11. Robbie:

Thanks for your response. You’re absolutely right, I phrased my question wrong. In no way have I already made up my mind about their guilt or innocence. I believe in our justice system and the fact that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. It is one of the things that makes our country so great. I’ll admit, it is hard to read about the atrocities done to that innocent family and not get angry, but it is wrong to condemn the soldiers until they are proven beyond reasonable doubt to be guilty. But I do look forward to the truth coming out.

    Thanks again for your response.

  12. One of the accused Soldiers, Pfc. Jesse Spielman, passed a polygraph test after denying shooting or having sex with anyone in the house.

  13. Dear Good Person,
I feel very good to you and your views. It is just what we need in America that there is people who know where colured people belong, and woman (in kitchen). And “gay”!!! marriage! Hah! Wee in Germany knew what to do with these type peple. I am so glad Republican Party is in power. We need another strong man and Busch is the Man.
Sincerely and with most good will to you!
    Waldemar Roehm, General (Ret.)

    • You are an idiot too. To think you would think that we need another Bush. I am ashamed as an american to say that people like ya’ll exist. What is wrong with all of you.

    • Germany lost the war you nazi fuck. You should be put behind bars. Even nazi hunters would find you insignificant.

  14. Dear Roehm — I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Further, neither do you.

Oh, and your IP address resolves to Atlanta, GA…not Germany. But nice try there. While you’re pretending to be a German Nazi in attempt to smear me as likewise, you should familiarize yourself with Godwin’s Law.

  15. Thank you for this fantastic window into this most vile American stereotype. Over here in Europe (we all travel here, we all visit other countries, regularly) I am often found defending America, I acknowledge that most of the country is sane and against recent US foreign policy. In fact I had forgotten the typical view of America as the most hated country in the World.
Your little pocket of madness is, at least, a prime view of the death throes of the worst American ideals.
The World doesn’t want your justice. The US sold out the UK after WW2, if Nazi Germany had taken Europe, it is likely it would have taken America also… we all stopped an evil machine. The US has no respect for the UN. Iraq is a complete mess because of US foreign policy.
You do realise that China has bought up the American Debt? Financially the dream is over cowboy… the demise of American influence is upon us. In terms of Empires, the American Empire at around 60 years, is really quite pathetic, probably because it was administered in the most greedy fasion, producing: Obesity, War with failed objectives, Murder in High Schools… it’s a sad list.
    Once again, thanks!

  16. Silly Jimmal — long after you and I are both dead and gone from this planet, the United States of America will still be the world’s greatest nation. And idiots like you will still hate us for it.

Your country (Amsterdam) on the other hand, will still be nothing more than a cool place to go smoke some dope while on Summer break.

  17. You think so Pal? My Grandad is just coming to terms with the fact that, the Sun does now set on the British Empire. You can delude yourself all you like; it’s China now. You messed up, spent all your cash fighting Wars in places you should never have been.
Furthermore, the country of Amsterdam is a good place to be; as is the UK.

  18. America is still the greatest nation on this planet — and the envy or hatred of lesser nations doesn’t negate that fact.

    What makes us so great?

I do believe in American exceptionalism — we are the most giving and benevolent nation on this planet, and we have done more to advance the welfare of this planet’s citizens than any other nation ever has.

There is no nation quicker to respond, nor more generous in their response then the United States. And it’s not just our government; our private citizens donate more of their free time and of their money to help the world’s poor and the victims of disaster than the citizens of any other nation.

As President Bush said in last night’s SOTU address:

The greatest strength we have is the heroic kindness, courage, and self-sacrifice of the American people.

No other nation on earth can match the American people in this regard.

  19. If you give more, it’s because there are more of you with more to give.
Claiming to spread your special brand of democracy, by force, on a global scale- who has this benefited?

The US supports countries in need, although it comes at a high price. A devastated Europe had to wait for the threat of Communism before America gave a second thought. America gave lots of cash, and in return gained Nuclear outposts, substantial trading rights, control of the “World” Bank.

Who wouldn’t praise selfless commitment to worthy causes? America has its fair share of these wonderful people; what exactly have you personally done in a charitable sense (this web site certainly doesn’t mention anything).

Of course Bush wants courage and self sacrifice… he wants you to put a brave face on sending your undereducated, poverty stricken young men to die in whichever part of the world happens to disagree with his brand of domination.

More Americans have died from Obesity on home soil, than any foreign threat. You have many steps to take – one of which is refraining from the consumption of Burgers.

You are, indeed, exceptional. Quite clearly, the ‘Guy in the Sky’ hand picked you and placed you in the Greenest of Lands… you truly are blessed.

  20. what exactly have you personally done in a charitable sense

Heinlein wrote: “The noblest fate that a man can endure is to place his own mortal body between his loved home and the war’s desolation.”

John 15:13 — Greater love hath no man than this…that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Ronald Reagan — “Some people wonder all their lives if they’ve made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem.”

    And neither do old Soldiers.

  21. Heinlein wrote: “The noblest fate that a man can endure is to place his own mortal body between his loved home and the war’s desolation.”

Was Heinlein talking exclusively about American Soldiers, or can this be applied to Soldiers of any nation? Could it apply to the Viet Cong, for example? After all, their “loved home” actually suffered “war’s desolation”. Could it apply to Afghanistan or Iraq?

John 15:13 — Greater love hath no man than this…that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:12 – My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

    Is Biblical text really appropriate?

Ronald Reagan — “Some people wonder all their lives if they’ve made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem.”

“The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est
    Pro patria mori.”
    Wilfred Owen

Your considerable intelect would surely be better used for peaceful aims?

  22. Peacememe sent me to say hi. Apparently he thinks we think alike, unlike Peacememe. Could I get anymore likes in the sentence? You should go to the milbloggers conference in DC – May 4th.

  23. Robbie I love love love your blog “And these days those idiots are plentiful.”

    Damn straight.

And I happen to be a very opinionated bitch. It’s nice to find out I’m not the only person on the blogosphere who’s not afraid to admit it.

    Cheers!

    -beej

  24. Hi Robbie,
I thought I’d say a formal hello here although I guess we’ve already conversed over a couple of issues on your blog.

Nice to read a little about you, I know a few people with similar backgrounds, and I’m sure like them, we will have a few opposing views points here and there.

As long as you understand that British is Best and I’m hardly ever wrong, things should go ‘swell’ (do you guys still use that word?).

    :-)

  25. I must say, reading number 17 of you “100 things about me” did make me laugh:

“I believe in the death penalty and a woman’s right to make her own decisions about her body.”

I must ask how you managed to link those together?

    Like saying:

“I agree to all out war with an aim to arrest Sadam Hussein, and the right of any man to eat Chutney on a sunday!”

    or

“I am firmly against an apartheid of any kind, and I maintain my right to wear high heels in gym glass”

  26. Robbie – discovered UrbanGrounds by accident – and was instantly hooked.
I’m fed up with all the fanny-kissing to anti-American hate-mongers, be they foreign or home-grown. Nuts to them and the horse (or camel) they rode in on!
Count on it – UrbanGrounds will be regular reading for me from now on.

  27. Thanks. Have a look around and don’t be timid about jumping into the fray.

  28. I have to say that though I have only just started sorting through your blog, and may find that I disagree with you on quite a few things, I love your writing style.

Plus, I think you would make for a formidable opponent in the ring! LOL! I love the challenge to Ezra. That was fantastic. I also love how you had to clarify what an actual boxing competition is as opposed to a barefisted puch-a-palooza that some people apparently thought it was (the guy from Columbus).

Well, despite our differences, God Bless America… that is one thing I can say we both share in common!

  29. Flat out, you are a racist. And it is sad that your hatred of hispanic and african AMERICANS has clouded your thinking. The only person un-american is you. If you can’t understand the the contributions minorities have brought to this country, you are totally clueless. People like you who spit venom like this are a disgrace to armed forces.

  30. Nice blog Robbie. Here’s an article about how conservatives are more compassionate than libtards! Complete with “valid data” to support… and they do mention your town, Austin, TX as uber liberal.

Warm regards from a fellow PGR,

    Judy

[Editor --- Judy, glad you found me here, and thanks for joining in. Make your self comfortable and welcome, and then stop by frequently, the more people joining in on the conversation the better. And I've long held that next to the men and women of our military (and Veterans), PGR riders are pretty much my favorite people.]

  31. Just found your site because it was linked to my Iraq blog. I like the site, and it’s glad to see fellow conservative writers in Austin. It can be tough being a conservative in Austin. As I always say, living in Austin is good because it’s only about a 20 minute drive away from Texas.

I know some folks who are planning a conference of sorts for conservative bloggers. It’ll be in Austin around July. Email me and I’ll put you in contact with them.

I’ve got about 40 days and then I’ll be back in the states. Lookin’ forward to some Bert’s BBQ.

  32. Greetings. My husband and I live rural but have deep ties to Austin. We just bought an apartment right downtown for weekends and UT games. Feeling a little nervous about living around so many Marxists (large part of why we left Austin when the kids were younger). Very interested in the Austin bloggers thing in July, does anyone know more about it?

Also, Jimmal. Europe is very nearly dhimmi territory now. They have erased themselves from their own existence in order to embrace everyone else. And now are an easy target for zealotry of any stripe at all. Who said that if you believe in nothing; you’ll believe in anything? Think John Walker Lindh. Also remember – the Nazis – that great evil?- were the extention of your kind of thinking; not ours.

As to sneering at American giving; take a look at the book Who Really Cares? – a nice analysis of statistics on charity begun by a liberal intending to prove that conservatives are mean spirited cretans. He is not liberal anymore. His own stats proved that the most charitable folk in every possible measurable arena are – married folk who are regular churchgoers. Of which there ARE one or two liberals. The rest are conservatives. Oh, and by the way — charitable folk in Europe are almost impossible to find. European GOVERNMENTS give; the people as individuals do not, as a firm rule. Charity is another victim of socialism.

  33. GREAT BLOG

    KEEP IT UP

    RIDE EASY !! RIDE HARD!!

  34. Nice blog Robbie
    - I love to see American’s standing up for what’s right.

By the way I used to live in Austin, TX and I loved it – A beautiful city – wish I could make it back there.

    Vote McCain

  35. Thanks for this wonderful blog. I am new to this whole bloggin experience and mainly have been driven (via links) to celebrats that think it’s their God given right to tell us lesser folks how to think and what to do, wear, vote –
You are providing a very different slant to everything and to have you here in TX is great!

[Editor --- Thanks for the kind words.l]

  36. You have an AMAZING BLOG! My name is John DeChiaro and I have created a web-thank-you note to GWB on 9/11/08.
If you can, could write something on your blog/website or promote it to your email lists so that I can get others to sign it. I currently have over 350 signatures.

    Thanks for your consideration,
    John

  37. Just here checking out your great site since you linked to my blog and actually quoted me. Fantastic work! :)

Nice to read the writings of a fellow Austin conservative. As the wife of a part-time biker and Air Force veteran, I will certainly be coming back!

  38. Great blog Rrobbie, Nice pwn of Waldemar Roehm (General, Ret.) another liberal retard troll.

  39. Your lifeform and mine are almost perfectly 180 degrees apart in everything.

  40. God bless you man. I feel your pain. I’m in the the heart of ultra liberal Silicon Valley. You remember us, the birthplace of the electronics industry. Well, now were the rectum. Nearly 50% non white, non english speeking, non legal bullshit you’ve ever seen. I agree with you. EVERYONE must stand up and speak out. We can’t let Diane, Nancy, Ted and the liberal bunch contine to distroy this once great nation.

  41. Great blog! Thanks for speaking for me. I am not articulate enough to explain why I feel the way I do when surrounded by bully liberals.
And ,unfortunately my life is inundated with such.
Well, I guess all of our lives are !!
    *A*

  42. I enjoyed reading through the blog; as a southerner (alabama) about to return to the south in austin, it’s nice to be reminded of conservative views on things. When I lived in the south I used to think the liberals were open minded and the conservatives close-minded. Then I moved to Seattle and found the same close-mindedness from liberals.

At the end of the day, it’s probably silly to think that either side is anti-american or immoral because they disagree with you. Professional politicans are going to act irresponsibly because they’re professional politicians, not because they’re liberal or conservative.

You make some great arguments for the conservative points of view (some of which I agree with), but there are some worthy parts of liberalism as well. We could probably get more done if we stopped calling the other side “anti-american” and instead tried to argue on the basis of our values, not the stupidity/immorality/unpatriotic qualities of the other side.

    Just a thought…

  43. “I’m a sonofabitch”

I totally agree that you are

    • He’s more than a ‘sonofabitch’. He’s a hateful, pathetic prick who takes delight in insulting those who are in political opposition to him. I mean for fuck sake, this site attracts NAZIS. Say no more.

  44. k.u lisint to me plz stop being so direspectfull and tack the picter of flushing a quran down the tolet of your blog im not going to start an argument..be cause in islaim its all about being passent plz have some respect for your self and others all over the world.

  45. ”The comments are mostly un-moderated, so feel free to jump into the conversation. Even if it’s just to tell me what a Rightwing-Whacko you think I am.”

    Robbie, I think you are a Rightwing-Whacko.

    Keep up the good work.

    The Doktor

  46. I think it’s a hoot that you earned a “BS in Professional Writing”. I think “Professional Writing” IS bs.

But then you said you will “call bullshit every time I see it.”

I think you’re missing it in yourself. A common problem – I’d say we all do it.

    • I think you’re projecting. Robbie is an excellent writer. You’re the only here who is full of b.s, loser.

  47. Wow….I think I have stumbled onto something great! I will follow you anywhere, Robbie!

  48. [...] for the men and women who’ve served our nation when I remembered a moving tribute that Robbie Cooper, a fellow Texan and former Marine, wrote last [...]

  49. You are a narrow-minded asshole, who probably is more ignorant and stupid than you believe. Please get your head checked. Also, why are so many “conservatives” fat?

    • I’ll bet you my pay check against yours (wait…you’re a liberal, which means you’re more than likely “under-employed” and living off my tax dollars) that this “fat, stupid, Conservative” would whip your lazy, worthless ass in a battle of wits OR fists. Hell, meet me at my CrossFit gym and I’ll bet you a month’s pay (damn…forgot about that employment stigma you have) that I drop you in your tracks on any one of our bench mark WODs.

      Fucking pathetic coward.

    • Hey Dick,

It’s nice to see that your mother and father gave you an appropriate name!

    • Hey DICK, I’m a bit confused. Is that your name or just your preference? I’ll assume BOTH.

      Fuck off Cock sucker!

      • Wow. Way to respond to a 2 year old comment. I can tell you are pretty sharp.

        • Hmmm, let’s see..your comment is posted over month after his…
          Hyprocrite..

          Fuck off..

  50. no2liberals recommended you as a good guy, and that is enough for me.

The critics can suck a lemon, eat a hard boiled egg, and pickle; then seal themselves in a hyperbolic chamber to enjoy their progressive persona’s.

  51. Got to your blog from a google alert re texas politics….

always curious I click the about page and see a picture of me, rather similar… phenotypically that is but also ideologically also.
    Ahhhh those were the days when I could define stupidity and be free and proud of my political incorrectness. Then it all changed. Not marriage, rather a Son. Then a quote as I was observing the sheer love teachers have for kids albeit steeped in the pedogogy spoonfed them in the teacher trainer world, I had to learn what they know and found out I was way behind. Hell I had a Jock education, time to get up to speed. consider this;
I think some day you might be able to thank me if you follow it to its logical conclusion, brother in arms

    http://www.sourcetext.com/grammarian/graves-of-academe/index.html

“It is possible, of course, to keep educated people unfree in a state of civilization, but it’s much easier to keep ignorant people unfree in a state of civilization. And it is easiest of all if you can convince the ignorant that they are educated, for you can thus make them collaborators in your disposition of their liberty and property. That is the institutionally assigned task, for all that it may be invisible to those who perform it, of American public education.”
    ciao

  52. I’m a native Austinite (now in N. TX) and grew up a TX Democrat but once they went liberal moved to independent conservative. Love your no-nonsense approach and writing style. It’s like hearing myself talk!

So glad I found your blog and look forward to more.

    • Thanks, Lotus. Glad you like the site and thanks for stopping by and chiming in the conversation. I find this blog is at its best when more people add to the conversation.

  53. WOW this blog is super depressing. People like you have made me give up on the world. Your lack of perspective and absolute thickheaded-ness is appalling. You decry nazi slander on this page and yet say nothing about those making rape jokes on the next page. Your philosophies are selfish and shallow. It is not us vs them, we are all children of the world, and we all face the consequences of the higher mans greed and abuse of power. You have learned to hate and you love to hate. But you must learn to love and love to love. I post this because it hurts me to see you fall into such easy hate and it angers me to see you promote this hate. I post this with all my heart, hoping that it will be heard because even though I have never spoken to you a day in my life and I obviously disagree with you on pretty much everything, I still love you

  54. Thanks for featuring my piece on your site Robbie. What in the hell happened to Austin that it became ultra-liberal as you put it? First openly gay mayor elected in TX right?

God bless you my friens and thanks for serving our country.

  55. Are you my husbands(ray) long lost brother from another mother…we were actually reading some of your comments on 4 Hour Body blog as we are in our 4th week and just randomly clicked on your UrbanGrounds link and I started reading and couldn’t but think..” my gosh you sound just like my ultra constitutionally conservative husband…just had to share…how the heck did you end up in Austin (San Francisco East)…lol…we are in San Antonio..Take care and keep up the good work…I am sure the two of you would enjoy some positive ranting…
    debbie

  56. You sound so extreme. You’re like a caricature of a conservative.

    • And you’re a caricature of the typical castrated effeminate Liberal male with neither the balls nor the sack to actually be a man. Have fun living with that, nancy.

  57. I really love your blogs. We have totally different opinions about everything but I love the way you write and I love your passion for the things you write.
All though not all Dutch people are thuglovers :P Even the ones that don’t agree on the deathpenalty.
I think our countries are totally different and you can’t compear them in any way. So it wouldn’t be right for me to judge your laws.

But keep up the great work, I keep reading it daily. I won’t comment really often cause my English isn’t good enough to go in discussions.

  58. I love your blog. I live in what used to be NC. They’re still calling it that “wink, wink” but this county has become basically a colony of Mexico. Viva la resistance.

  59. How sad to see all the misguided hate on this blog….by the way, all you whites who want to live with ONLY other whites, why don’t you go BACK where YOU came from, since this land is MY PEOPLE’s land, the Native amerikans who this land BELONGS to! If ya don’t like the changing face/demographics of this country, LEAVE, go where they LIKE keeping it white, where they already kick people of colour out…like Italy, France…shit, ALL of the EU is reverting their laws back to white ONLY, might as well go JOIN YOUR people, in your lands, since you can’t do anything about the fact whites are RAPIDLY becoming the minorities of this country, more so each & every day. You all want to have blinders on to PRETEND you have ANY RIGHT to say “what” amerika ‘should’ look like. You want to control, go control where you have ROOTS….because you lose RELEVANCE in this country when you instigate dissension amongst races….since your white race is, well, ya know….losing ground in THIS country…because it wasn’t yours to begin with, so now you all are reaping what you sowed.
Again, this isn’t the white mans LAND….either you accept this nation is what it is & embrace all our beautiful differences….or you become a part of the PROBLEM.

    • There are wonderful people of all races but let’s get real..aside from trailer trash, whites ARE becoming the minority because there are so many minorities popping out 6 babies from 6 different babies daddys…and teaching their kids how to get the most out of welfare…the disgusting cycle will continue until those people stop acting so “entitled”, fucking selfish and lazy…

    • Wow Brenda, what an ignorant thing to say. Telling whites to go back where they CAME from eh? You seem to embrace your heritage with great conviction. That’s nice. So someone told you that you are American Indian. Alright!! Good deal and good for you!! There is a certain something that we all get when we think about the Indians. They are somewhat a magical, mythical race. You get a feeling of awe when you go to museums or reservations that have been opened to the public to gaze at with wonderment. It seems however, Brenda, that you just grab that title, label, connection, whatever link it is you have to them without doing any research. I find it odd that you strenuously feel entitled to this land due you from your forefathers having been here before us. That’s right. I said BEFORE us. My kids are half Apache’, half Scot. They get the Scot from me. My late wife was obviously the Apache’. We didn’t just tell them “Hey, you’re Native American. Yay for you!” and off they went to go make ignorant remarks on someones blog. No, they actually did research, as did I, so that we have a clear knowledge of how the Native American came to exist. And it wasn’t HERE. They didn’t “Originate” from HERE either! Even the label Indian was not of their own doing. It wasn’t the Indians that named themselves Indian. They didn’t come up with that. And we all know that American Indians refer to themselves as American Indian. They didn’t have a name, label, moniker. Not until Christopher Columbus did they get one. They came to be known as Indians by HIS doing.
I am not going to school you on something you claim such devotion to but yet know DICK about your own people. I leave that to YOU. It’s not MY job. So, before you open your Yap and start flippin shit to people on this blog, do your fucking homework! You try to validate your heritage by spelling America with a K so we’d all think you know your shit but no, it’s painfully obvious that you DON’T know SQUAT!

Also, if you’re truly Indian and enrolled in a tribe….that quarterly and annual check from the casino must really suck eh??! Beings you weren’t involved in any of the suffering inflicted on generations past, that must really suck to receive those, I’m sure! And I bet you’re just barely making it to 1/16th. The minimum required.
You owe these people an apology for your despicable rant. Beings you have NO clue as to what you’re talking about.

See you at the Gathering of Nations in April!!!

  60. Hi
    I appreciate your site.
I might have a diff opinion from you but I am not angry.
I disagree with the execution today but have not got ant reasonable respones from your bloggers.
Is your site open to diff opinion or does everyone have to be pro death, pro tex?]

    • Your allowed to post aren’t you? Just try an opposing argument on Prisontalk where lonely women with no self esteem cream over thugs and you are banished…

You get an angry response because there are so many like you that support these worthless criminals instead of getting rid of them. It is the law of the land here, you commit heinous crimes, you get executed.

The guy getting executed today would rob and kill you in an instant and feel nothing. He holds no value for life therefore his is worth nothing. PERIOD.

    • Differing opinions are welcome (unlike many anti-death penalty sites, such as Prison Talk). But that doesn’t mean that we have to like or even respect your opinion.

I understand how and why people are anti-death penalty. For whatever reason. I get it. But anti-death penalty advocates almost never afford the same understanding and tolerance to those of us who do support it.

  61. Much respect to you @RobbieCooper. I’m so glad to find a blog where someone is taking up for our fallen soldiers and calling a spade a spade. I’m working on a mission that you may not agree with and most people don’t; but I sure as hell respect your opinon. Much LOVE and RESPECT to you Mr. Cooper.

  62. What’s your opinion on death row inmates that have kids? Would you have any sympathy for the young ones who has lost a parent or would you just say fuck the little bastards?

  63. They should have thought of their children before they did their crimes.

  64. Say you have a wife and she goes crazy and kills you parents for some odd reason does she get the death penalty

  65. Their just civilians anyways so its not a capital crime right?

  66. if you kill 2 or more people and if it is for renumeration, yes, it is capitol…

  67. Oh ok. So could she just plead temporary insanity?

  68. doesnt work like you think…sorry

  69. This whole site is bullshit and doesn’t talk about the real issues we have in this world

  70. I find this article incredibly racist and not conducive to an intelligent discussion regarding the policy of the death penalty.

    • I agree with Jeremy. This type of writing putting forward such views in a very unintelligent way is why many Europeans regard a fairly large sections of Americans as rather primitive and old fashioned in their way of thinking. Philosophy and human values have progressed over the last 200 years, but maybe it just comes very slowly to Texas.

  71. I had the unfortunate pleasure of coming across your site. You are racist. There is a difference between conservative and being a flat out racist and you are definitely a racist. I do not know how you can say you are pro-military and you are out bashing every black person when there are so many fighting on the front lines for our country. My father was in the Air Force and would be heartbroken to see a racist dare say they are pro-military. That is contradictory.

And this “acting black” you keeping saying on your site is absolute malarkey. I am African-American and do not act like that at all. That is ignorance. And ignorance transcends all race, religions, and genders (as your blog boldly proves). There are plenty of white people who act “ghetto” do not have a father and on welfare. It is unfortunate that you have taken on ignorant views that are obviously not true. You have put on blinders to see what you only want to see and mindless hate on another race that blatantly built this country and allowed you to hide behind the first amendment. It is sad that someone with a B.S. in any degree is this ignorant. I would expect this from the uneducated backwoods but not from a college graduate.

    • Degree snob. Lack of higher education does not mean the rest of us come from the ‘uneducated backwoods’. I would take one autodidact over any ten college educated individuals any day of the week.

    • Congratulations, Sweetie: You are the exception and not the norm.

I don’t make up the statistics on black crime, black drug use, black literacy rates, black abortion rates, black drug crimes & usage, black education levels, black employment levels, black incarceration rates, the crisis of single-black motherhood, or black poverty.

I also don’t make up the violent mob crimes perpetrated by black people that are popping up all over the internet.

      • I don’t know why Racists/White supremacists are afraid to just come out and say what they are! You should be proud of your choice you’ve made to dominate and subordinate non-white people. Stop hiding behind the cloak of “fairness” and “just giving facts” and say what you really mean!

Be proud of your brethren like Jerry Sandusky who loves to blow and have anal sex with little black boys or Jeffrey Dahmer who loves black meat on his dinner plate! All that hunitin’ the good ol’ boys do is just a longin’ to hunt the biggest game of all- niggers!

White people used to be able to say what they really felt and not pussy out like you’re doing.

Now, all you get is good white folk bullshitting you into thinking it’s something else like “I don’t like Obama because his politics, it has nothing to do with race”.

SAY IT LOUD, I’M A WHITE SUPREMACIST AND I’M PROUD!
        STOP BULLSHITTING WHITE MAN!

  72. Sigh, another wannabe Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity. Why is it only the batshit crazy Tea Baggers and Right-Wingers that are the most vocal? Where are all the moderate Republicans at?

    • Sigh…another dumbass libtard…did you take a break to comment here on your corporate purchased computer before you go back to the drum beating scumbags?
The most vocal? What do you call all the nasty whiny ass bitching idiots pissing in parks and throwing rocks at officers? I’d call that not just vocal but insane.
They want their student loans forgiven? What bullshit. Lazy good for nothing bitches.
      Your an idiot..

      • LOLOLOL…seems like you are a little angry, no? Talk about an overreaction. You my friend are a little unbalanced.

        • Your an idiot.

        • Your an idiot AND a dork…nice.

        • Haha. Perhaps before you people start raving about teaching Mexican immigrants English, you should learn it yourself.

Starting with the difference between you’re (you + are) and your (the possessive of “you”)…nice

      • dude…who the fuck are you? seriously what is your name? Do you realize we have an education crisis in this country? Our brightest citizens-the ones who will carry the burden of fools like you-are carrying $1 Trillion in student debt…that is a disaster. They have every right to be upset…how can you malign them for that? You obviously did not go to school and if you did I bet you had FINANCIAL AID…or maybe a Pell grant? In fact, I bet the owner of this site also got financial aid or a pell grant. You all are just so fucking dumb and hypocritical…you bitter, bitter people. I guess I’m glad that I will always have enough money to insulate myself from people like you.

  73. Oh, man. It’s like every Republican blogger is some fat doofus with a bloatee.

I mean, it’s not enough that you’re some racist, beer-swilling creep but that goatee, man… …You know who else had one? LENIN.

    • Hey dumbass, before picking on my “your”, try reading the blog. He is CLEARLY NOT a racist. There are many other races that are admired for their HONORABLE WORK and contributions to our society.
If you mean racist again POS thugs that hurt and take from others, then YES.
      Stupid bitch…

      • Wow, you agree he’s a racist, then?

Also, someone who throws around words like “idiot”, “dumbass”, “stupid bitch” should at least try to type two full sentences without some glaring grammatical or spelling fuckup:

“If you mean racist again POS thugs that hurt and take from others, then YES. [sic]” – AMARIUS

It’s a GOOD thing you compensate for your GODAWFUL ENGLISH by typing EVERY other word in CAPS LOCK. That’s CLEARLY a sign of penetrating INTELLIGENCE.

        • “Your an idiot AND a dork…nice.”

        • If you had any intelligence at ALL, you would read more of the blog before judging.
Shouldn’t you be at some pathetic Occupy spot with your smelly friends?
          STUPID BITCH…HAHAHA..

    • Shut the fuck up and go fetch me a latte, woman (which is pretty much all your useless BA in Women’s Studies has qualified you to do in real life).

  74. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH….

[entire comment deleted by Robbie. Because I can. It's my blog, bitch.]

  75. Greetings from England!

I began Blogging one month ago.

I’m a seeker of common sense, especially within the British Justice System, where not too much exists today.

You will care Jack about any of this, I’m sure.

But man, as a new Blogger stumbling across YOUR Blog, I gotta say…..

“Oh, oobee doo – I wanna be like you – I wanna walk like you – Talk like you, too – You’ll see it’s true – A new Blogger like me – Can learn to be, a Blogger like yoooooooooooo.”

    Regards to you.

    • Thanks, Danny.

Just be honest in your writing…write about those things that interest you. Don’t worry about who is reading. Just enjoy it, be persistent and readers will come.

      Best of luck to you.

  76. found your site when i googled ‘dog taking a dump’.lol. cool site, dan. i am a radical disrespectable unconservative artist with an attitude and love to bend the envelope. i love guns and enjoy taking on the gungrabbers every opportunity i get. cheers, man!

  77. I’m a conservative, a cyclist, a walker, an aspiring writer, poet and storyteller, and a blogging enthusiast of 10 years, trying to escape UberLiberal SoCal for a fresh start in Texas.

I’m an opinionated sonofabitch, whose 2 cats are also conservative, aspiring writers, poets and storytellers, one of whom has been blogging as long as I have, and the other for just over 2 years, on their own blog.

They are often just as opinionated as I am. :-D

Pleased to have discovered your blog. :-D

  78. I’m typically pretty liberal in most issues however, tend to be conservative in others (crime, etc.). Enjoy reading this blog because for 1) Robbie is a friend of mine and for 2) I enjoy hearing the other side of the story. Don’t hate all liberals. Some of us do work and are formally educated people.

  79. You must be a friend of Julia and a member of Brian Evans’ posse of thug lovers over at AIUSA. You are just a little upset that the anti-death penalty movement is not gaining much ground these days. You must also be upset that Robbie Cooper is a successful blogger with a following and you – well let’s just say ARE the queen’s ass-kisser

Oh,speaking of diets – you not tired yet of the fish and chips anorectic dish? At least the Irish enjoy meat and potatoes. Oops, I forgot you liberal human-rights Brits hate the Irish. My bad…

One more thing: you afraid of signing you name to this rant? How infantile of you….

  80. I liked Lady Diana just for the fact she stood up to the worthless monarchy you Brits kiss the feet and asses of on a daily basis. The way she showed it to that no-guts queen’s doormat Charles was very satisfying. How much of your hard-earned money goes to support these loafs (read: to be idle, at leisure)? Sticking your nose into American matters when Britain is being drained by these Buckies? Take your face out of the queen’s butt and figure some things out.

  81. I just added your blog to my website’s main page blog roll. Could you add my site to your blog roll? Thanks! Texas Conservative Republican News

  82. Robbie, No2Liberals and all others I have had the pleasure of talking with so far:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!

  83. SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
