One major thing that I can't emphasis enough...Umbrella. They weigh very little, and if you get a larger "golf" style umbrella, you will stay cool all day. Umbrellas cut down on how much you sweat, which means you have to carry less water. You can nap under them between shows, and they provide "wind shelter" if you engage in any activities that you prefer to keep private. This year (2005) it's going to be in the 98 - 100 degrees on Friday, and Saturday and Sunday will be very very very wet. Hurricane Rita will be blowing in some major weather saturday afternoon at about 2pm that won't be a small summer sprinkle.

Umbrella will solve both heat and rain problems. Do yourself a favor.

loved hearing your plans for managing the festival....went in 2004, planning to go in 2005. When I went, I had just been able to remove my brace after having knee surgery - so I was still able to use my hanicapped parking permit. Was able to park about 1/4 of a mile from front gates. This year, I'll be normal and will be parking with the masses. L:ove the bike idea, and will share the swimming sugggestion with my friend - she's a local. I trav el from Ohio!!

Your new site re-design looks fantastic! Wish I could have gone to the ACL with you...I really wanted to see Ben Harper and Jack Johnson again this year.
