In today’s edition of The Stupid News, a manager at a Long John Silver’s fast-seafood restaurant in Richardson, TX was fired after saving his employees during an attempted robbery.

Company officials said the supervisor had endangered the employees’ lives by violating rules that require cooperation with robbers.

The manager was taken, alone, to the back office where the safe is located. It’s not too uncommon for people in this situation to be shot after they open the safe. Rather than risk being shot, the manager reacted to save his own life. He grabbed a hammer and beat the robber about the head.

Good for him.

Because of their idiocy in wrongfully firing the manager, I’m hereby, and forever-going-forward, boycotting Long John Silvers. And I would implore all of you, my wise and loyal readership, to do the same. Except, I suspect that you started boycotting them years ago for an entirely different reason. Something to do with the quality of their food.

Got something you want to say?
