Workers called Houston animal control specialists, who took special precautions because of her pregnancy.
“In her delicate condition, they wanted to be extra careful in getting her down,” Smith said.
The baboon was eventually subdued and placed back into her cage.
She was bumped to stand-by, however, because the others in her group had already left.
“They didn’t hold the flight for one baboon,” Smith said. “They found another aircraft to put her on.”
Bumped to stand-by? “Sir, an extra seat just became available.”
