I have to agree with you on Ashley, she is a no talent fraud. But her sister does have talent, you will see those talents in her upcoming movie The Dukes of Hazard. Now whether she can sing or act I have no idea.

Todd…are you the same Todd Jones who kicked my ass at the Texas 10 Charity Disc Golf final at Lewisville last November? If I remember correctly, you came in 3rd in MA2 (if you are the same Todd Jones).,

I had a miserable tournament…coming in 37th out of the 60 golfers in our division.

The best thing to come of that tourney? It propelled Derek Henry’s rating up high enough to force him to finally move up to Advanced. So maybe next year I can come in 36th (actually, the finale is in Dripping Springs next year…so maybe I can fair a little better closer to home).

Looks like the only thing more vile than the ‘talent’ of Ashlee Simpson is the rabidness of her adoring fans (not to mention their illiteracy).

Katie, my dear little pot-smoking high-school dropout, here’s a quick lesson for you:

If you’re going to accuse others (especially me) of being ‘ignorant’, let me suggest a couple of important topics that you might want to look into: spelling and grammar. Oh, and you could try using actual words instead of internet-phonetics (for example: IF U MAKIN SUM PETTY…).

Oh, and there, their, and they’re each have distinct and different meanings and usages. You should familiarize yourself with them. It might help you to not get turned-down as frequently when filling out job applications.

You probably don’t realize this (which has as much to do with your being only 17 as it does with your being a stoned dropout), but your vitriolic tirade (I’ll wait while you get your dictionary)…does more to prove my point about the worthlessness of Ashlee Simpson’s talent than all the petitions in the world. Get a clue land of the free home of the brave etc. If anyone doesn’t like ashlee simpson or her music, noone is forcing them to listen to it, buy her cds, or attend concerts or any other events in which she performs. If noone buys her music etc. than the label company will drop her like a hot potato, because they aren’t making any money. Although the petiton has a few hundred thousand signatures so far it is dwarved by the millions of people who have bought her cd. Until those numbers decline significantly, even if she gets booed off stage I don’t see why the record label that sells her music should cut her off.

I appreciate the good laugh I’ve gotten from your acerbic responses to the Ashlee fans’ pathetic grammar. As far as Ashlee goes, I think that the morons out there don’t realize that her “management” (a.k.a. Daddy Dearest) has probably greased the palms of a whole host of people so that they will promote and support his stupid, stupid daughter. She endures not because most of the world gives a flying crap about her, but because the people with the power to play her music and book her for shows have been well paid to do so. I would rather listen to a screaming baby than be subjected to her “singing.” At least the baby would likely have a reason to cry, while I don’t see any reason for Simpson or any of the other talentless ass shakers being forced down the throat of the masses to even exist, much less be recorded “singing.” As a matter of fact, I’m so sick of the over-produced garbage that is forced down the throats of anyone who tries to listen to the radio that I’m boycotting the radio in favor of my own iPod. At least I can control the music that comes out of it!

I totaly agree with katie (england) out of millions possible billions of websites there are probably more bigging up Ashlee. I can’t seem to get to grips with how you think 1 will make a difference to her, her adoring fans or indeed the thoughts of her record company who wouldnt have signed her in the first place if she was as crap as the Simpson haters seem to think they wouldn’t have signed her. But a quick FYI — I didn’t create the petition. I merely agreed with it and signed it. Total time “wasted”? About 30 seconds. Money spent? $0.00.

The amount of time it takes to type out “you”, “you’re”, and “be” instead of “u”, “ur”, and “b”? About .002 seconds.

How to spell and communicate in proper English? Priceless. It’s no wonder that you are unable to realize the vapidness and complete lack of talent or artistic merit that is Ashely Simpson. Let me guess, you also think that Justin Timberlake is talented?

Wow… you made this post over nine months ago, yet still people are looking at it. It’s in the first page of results on Google, though, so I guess it’s not really that big of a surprise.
Honestly, I’m surprised that Ashlee has lasted this long. I guess the willingness of the American public to devour yet another manufactured musician.
Normally, I don’t have a problem with this. Lots of singers don’t write their own music. (Note: Ashlee does suggest topics or themes for her songs, but does NOT write her own music. There’s a difference between suggesting that someone write a World War I novel and producing “All Quiet on the Western Front”). Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and the boy bands of the late 90’s didn’t write their own music, and I enjoyed a few (very few) of their songs.
However, they were chosen to be part of such a system because they had TALENT. They could sing, they could dance, they were good-looking and they had the right attitude for the limelight. Ashlee Simpson may share a few genes with Jessica, but I don’t think she’s NEARLY talented enough to deserve any kind of international fame. Then again, I guess she doesn’t really have that much, since Europeans are smart enough to recognize overproduced crap when they hear it.
But seriously. With the financial resources and managerial talent of Joe Simpson (her father), you could make Trent Lott a national singing sensation. I know signing the petition is futile, but I also know that Ashlee possesses so little talent and personality that she’ll fade comfortably into obscurity, where she belongs.

Please, if you want to, argue with me. But what you shouldn’t do is:
1. Tell me to get a life/insult me for writing: “I can’t find anything wrong with what you’re saying, so I’ll have to insult you”. That’s just sad.
2. Ask me why I’m attacking Ashlee: I think she’s a no-talent hack, and I’ve made that clear. I don’t believe she deserves fame, and since it’s become a point of contention already I’ll voice my opinion.
I welcome reasoned and logical rebuttals.
