During last night’s Acadamy Awards, I was pleasantly surprised that there was very little moonbattiness. After all, we know how much Tim Robbins, Sean Penn, and Puffy like to us their pulpits to spout their pro-Iraq Minute Men terrorists rhetoric.

But the funniest one-liner of the night was from host Chris Rock:

Oprah has so much money, John Kerry just proposed to her.

Of course there was only a smattering of nervous laughter from the limousine-liberal crowd…perhaps because they understood the underlying truth of the statement. Even Oprah looked around nervously, appearing to clutch her handbag closer to her side, just in case Kerry actually was somewhere nearby.

UPDATE: one other note to Sean Penn: Lighten Up. Of course Chris Rock knows who Jude Law is. He was being funny, showing some levity. You know: humor. You should look into it. Is it any wonder nobody (as in non-moonbats) takes anything you say off-camera seriously?

UPDATE II: Charles at LittleGreenFootballs notes the ommission of any reference to the death murder of Theo Van Gogh.

One Response to “Chris Rock Rocks John Kerry”

There’s something very strange about a show where Michael Moore ends up in the opening montage as a “hero”, then the host glorifies Moore’s F-911, a movie where soldiers are made to look like assholes, and finally turns around and dedicates it to the soldiers at the end of the show.

Some dedication. But it’s exactly what Hollywood really thinks.

Got something you want to say?
