Alcohol used to be illegal. People started making alcohol in ’stills’, and others transported the illegal substance to secret places where people drank. Many people who are against legalizing pot, have relatives that were involved in the criminal distillation or transportation of alcohol when it was prohibited.

Marijuana or “hemp” has many different uses, which is why it’s illegal. Hemp can be used for the following:

1. Fuel – Direct competition with the oil companies.
2. Medical – Direct competition with the pharmaceutical companies.
3. Rope – Hemp rope is cheaper to make than synthetic nylon rope made by the Dupont corp. Direct competition with the chemical companies.
4. Clothes – Hemp can be manufactured into clothes. Direct competition with the cotton industry.
5. Food – Marijuana seeds are found in commercial bird seed for parakeets, finches, etc.

After more than half a century of marijuana being illegal, people are realizing that monopolies are bad, and that hemp has many viable uses. Marijuana was outlawed in the early 20th century when many big businesses realized the potential of this plant, and saw it as a threat to their business. They petitioned & paid off government officials to make marijuana illegal.

Marijuana isn’t a danger to individuals who use it, it WAS a danger to big businesses.

Oh and by the way, people are big babies for stereotyping all potheads as unemployed hippies. As well as the reverse “all anti-weed people are bible bashing biggots” Grow up all of you.

I partake. I did the other day. The other day when I was in a crowd and man had a heart attack. When he turned blue and his tounge was sticking out…. I was stoned. Didn’t keep me from performing CPR when no one else would. I saved his life. Doubt his family would care that I was stoned, or place the label of pot head on me.

No one ever died smoking weed… ever

From smoking it? Perhaps, by causing an accident.
However, the money used to purchase it funds the drug cartels that have caused a lot of pain and suffering, on both sides of the border.
People like you, are funding murderous, terrorist organizations.

And, without dope on the disc golf course, rounds for the rest of us who don’t smoke could be played in half the time, as we wouldn’t have to wait for you baked assholes to casually stroll around trying to find your discs and take smoke breaks every third hole.
