After the historical elections in Iraq, this article about a 10-year old girl from Billings, Montana–Shelby Dangerfield–asked others to stain their fingers to show support and solidarity with Iraqi voters.
Some Republican Senators took up her request.
After seeing the picture of young Shelby’s ink-stained finger, and then hearing Ms. Garofalo compare the gesture to a Nazi salute, I had the exact same thought that Kevin noted in his excellent post on the topic:
Does Garofalo think that young Shelby truly, seriously, is out to spread Nazi fascism to the world around her?
Michael Moore helped doom the Dems in 2004. It looks like Garofalo has an early lead for that Hollywood distinction for 2008.
I’ve already schooled Ms. Garofalo on the meaning of the word ‘electable’. Captain Ed has gladly schooled her on the term ‘Nazi’.
She just seems to be a slow learner.

Thanks for chronicling the ever more bizarre behavior of leftist celebs. If the Dems don’t distance themselves from these dolts, it will be important to remind voters in 2006 of the company they keep.
BTW: I hope protestwarrior.com comes out with a bumpersticker that says “Give terrorists the finger!” coupled with a picture of an Iraqi woman and her purple finger.
I grewup with the Dems being the party for the middle and lower class. Now I don’t know what they stand for. I don’t think they do either.
