Last week I wrote about the Hero Bracelets that benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
I ordered three bracelets, and these are the ones that arrived in my mail box today:

And these are the men whose names are on my bracelets:

Sgt. Michael T. Crockett, 27, of Soperton, Georgia — Sgt. Crockett was on patrol in Baghdad when he came under RPG attack. He was assigned to the 3rd Platoon Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, Fort Stewart, Georgia. He died on July 14, 2003.
Sgt. Timothy L. Hayslett, 26, of Newville, Pa. — Sgt. Hayslett was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division, based in Friedberg, Germany; he was killed while on patrol Nov. 15 when his Humvee was struck by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad.
Spc. Brian H. Penisten, 28, of Fort Wayne, Ind. — Spc. Penisten was assigned to Air Defense Artillery Battery, 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, based in Fort Carson, Colo.; he was killed Nov. 2 in an attack on a CH-47 Chinook helicopter near Fallujah, Iraq.
I am honored to carry the names and the memory of these brave heroes with me. If you have not ordered your bracelet yet, go do it now.
UPDATE: TexasBug just received her Hero Bracelet, too. She wrote about the man whose name now adorns her wrist, Master Sgt. Kelly L. Hornbeck, in her blog.

I want to thank you for wearing your HeroBracelets. We started this project to help people know who is fighting and dying in Iraq and around the world. We wanted people around the country to think about these men and women and talk about them and care about them.
We have to remember.
