From the flyer:
At Cat Hollow disc golf course: A women’s only PDGA B-Tier event to benefit the American Cacner Society to raise awareness for breast cancer. Directed by Vinnie Miller and Ed Coffey. Sign up by mail (attn: Vincent Miller, 2741 “b” Citation, Garfield, Texas 78617) or Friday before the event at the pavilion located across the street from the course. Saturday morning sign up will be from 8:00am thru 9:00am. Saturday’s players meeting is 9:00am. Tee off at 9:30am. The second round start time to be determined.
The largest women’s field to date was the 2005 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships, where 51 Pro and Amateur women competed.
So far, about 60 women have signed up or have committed to play in what will undoubtably be the largest women’s field ever for a PDGA-sanctioned event.
If you only make one tournament this year, ladies, this should be the one. I wish I could be out there to watch at least 3 confirmed World Champions, but I’ll be in Bowling Green, KY that weekend for a disc golf tournament of my own.
Find more information or post any comments and questions you might have on the PDGA Message Board.
UPDATE: 52 women competed in the Texas Womens Championships, making it the largest field of women ever. Congratulations to all the winners (including Des Reading in the Women’s Pro Open division) and to tournament Vinnie Miller for having the vision to put together such a significant event.

Hello! I have not entered in a tournament yet. I have not played with women that have experience playing. Would this be a good tournament for me to enter in? I would also like to know if there is anyway to know if there are other women tounaments or not.
Thank you,
Najla
