Kathy Ireland on the draft:

Can anyone tell me, are they going to bring back the draft? I have three sons — all nearly teenagers — and am terrified that they will. Why don’t they make it that just Republican kids get called up?

Do you want to know why not, you fuck-wit? Because, by-and-large, it is already the sons and daughters of Republicans who are volunteering to serve in our nation’s military.

Any rumours of a draft could be quickly dispelled if the miserable creatures on the Left would shoulder their share of the burden of defending this country. But we know that isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

So, Kathy, if a draft ever is implemented, do you promise to leave our country and never return (rather than have your uber-privilged progs actually have to earn something)? Oh, and on your way to France, don’t forget to stop by and pick up Tim and Susan.

Alas, it appears Ireland was badly misquoted, and talking about a totally different draft.

Regarding your notion of who is signing up v. who is talking trash you might find this anecdote interesting.

(I thought the new Star Wars was pretty good too)

Wow. An anecdote. On Daily KoS. How impressive.

No better and no worse than anecdotes about Michael Crook or people punching horses.

But as far as the source- do you only read stories that have been accepted by approved media outlets? Take it from someone who looks at right-wing blogs: it can be illuminating to step outside your caccoon. (And I’m not talking about the sites where you just gawk at the ‘moonbats’- I gave up looking at the Free Republic nutcases long ago.)

I visit a lot of Left blogs. It’s a great source of inspiration.

And as far as ‘approved media outlets’ are concerned, with the exception of the Right-biased Fox, ALL the other MSM outlets are Left-biased.

We’ve been getting ALL of our news from the liberal-controlled media for so long, you’ll have to forgive most on the Right if they are spending most of their extra time in right-leaning blogs trying to make up for the heavy imbalance we’re constantly bombarded with from the Left.

Humbug.

Kathy Ireland is an amazing person. An inspiration with everything she does.
