Of course they put this guy on Hannity: that’s the point of the show- to put up cardboard arguments for him to knockdown. That includes Alan Colmes and his non-rebuttals to Hannity’s distortions of the truth.

If you can’t win the war of ideas you redefine what the opposition stands for. By putting Michael Crook on the show it was an attempt to link the anti-war movement with a lunatic.

‘A waste of time’… That’s rich. Couldn’t you or I said that a week ago? Yet they still booked him for the show. Michael Crook served his purpose and now he’ll disappear until he gets desparate enough to try another stunt: “The United Front Against Motherhood and Apple Pie”

I thought the bit was a hoot. Sure it was a waste of time. Crook’s contentions that the military is overpaid is without merit. Crook has the freedom to publish such traitorous garbage because the Government grants that freedom. The Government is protected by the military from hostile entities which might remove that priviledge. The military has to be strong enough to dissuade or defeat possible aggressors. Maintaining a strong military force means paying for the food required to sustain strong healthy fighters and sustaining high morale. In light of these truths, the American people get a fighting force which voluntarily defends their rights at quite a bargain indeed! Those few supporters that Mr. Crook may have are most likely ignorant of these logical statements, or otherwise incapable of mentaly processing the same. To Mr. Crook, I say your endeavour is ultimately doomed to failure of the worst variety, because it is you who seek to cheat the system and get-rich-quick. Enjoy your bit of success as you deem it, because soon enough, those member of the Viet Nam Vets Motorcycle Club you slighted on your web site will catch up to you!

I watched the news clip though an email link today sent to me by another co-worker of mine in the Air Force.

I have served my country for 4 years with a 6 year commitment and I have no doubts about re-enlisting. This guy, Michael Crook, has a great and fitting last name, or maybe he should change that to Anarchist. I stayed relatively calm through the clip despite the allegations. The man was totally uneducated about the military and is the victim of his own creations. I personally have had a woman spit at my feet and a high school student calling me a baby killer. I for one have never killed anybody and pray I never have to alike with anyone else in the military; so I am no stranger to anti-military sentimism.

I don’t feel bad at all for the attention this man has recieved, for he brough it upon himself for taking the opportunity to piss hundereds of thousands of men and women in arms, and the families and millions of other who are supporting us all. Many do not agree with the war in Iraq, and at any rate this type of opinion is not lonely or a stranger to any of us.

Protesting against a war or the government are demonstrations of the freedom of speech. Protesting the men and women of the armed forces is a big “no-no”. Why? You don’t spit at your mother when you don’t get the gift you wanted at Christmas, and you surely do not spit at or degrade the men and women who keep you safe at night. How long do you think it would take for any nation to overrun the United States if the military was gone? I estimate a full scale invasion immediately.

My primary job in the military is to protect my family and all those living in the United States. When I am given orders to deploy to another nation to stop tyranny, I follow those orders without hesitation because it is my job. As for military bennefits, I believe we are well compensated. The pay figures do not add up to much in the civilian world when you look at them but you need to see everything else we are given: free housing, free medical, free education, free uniforms, free travel, and cost of living allowance. The list can go on and on.

I take great pride in putting on my service uniform and tremble with emotion every time I hear our national anthem. The U.S. is divided with a multitude of opinions and accusations towards our government and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq at the present, but DO NOT shadow over the victories of the U.S. military past or present. Many have forgotten the significance of our freedoms and rights. This must change if we are to live together without hatred and prejudice for many years to come.

President Eisenhower once said that if 40% of a beach landing at Normandy was killed, the remaining 60% will survive and defeat the enemy, but if one person was killed who was a relation to you, then that changes to 100%. Support the families of those who have perrished in present and past wars and give thanks to those who have made the ultimate sacrafice. Thanks.

Forsake the Troops is down. Crook sold the rights to it on EBay for $177. Also, his personal website, http://www.michaelcrook.com, is now a private site with a wonderful greeting to all. I urge everyone to visit the frontpage and read the wonderful greeting that Crook has posted. Amazing how someone who preaches the merits of free speech has now closed his site to the public.

As a retired First Sergeant with 22 years in the Army… I would like to thank the jerk for all his support… Looks as if he wasn’t brought up right. First he could get a hair cut (his style went out 35 years ago) second, he should maybe keep his dumb a__ ideas to himself, perhaps his idea is better, bring back the draft so idiots like him will flee America…!!!!!! I did not see or hear the interview, I learned of it from my son who is just finishing his first year in the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE(FOR WHICH I COULDNT BE PROUDER). My son is not overpaid, if anything he is under paid and if one of the benefits is on base housing or housing pay for living off base is one that he gets. SO BE IT!!!!! My son is fighting for the freedom that this MORON has, the right to say what he wants, and the right to sleep in peace at night, with not a worry about if he is going to be killed by an enemy of the US. My hat is off to all that serve, they do a very FINE job in protecting this country and all that it stands for, even if it is for protecting a totally degenerate like this Michael Crook. Has he ever served in the military? Does he know what our troops are going through to protect HIS freedom. All I have to say is THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL THAT SERVE THIS GREAT COUNTRY

As a U.S Army Infantry Veteran I can honestly say: I will fight and die to preserve his right “Freedom of Expression”.

As a citizen of the greatest country on earth I can say: He is protected from the government doing anything to him, NOT THE CITIZENS.

A common misconception among people that consistently buck the system is that they have a right to do it and they should not lose movie sales/income/fame.

Somehow everyone is supposed to pretend they aren‘t offended and don‘t want to rip your head off. This is true from the government (Explanation the CIA/FBI/White House/ATF/Secret Service etc, none of them can stop you from talking) If a majority of the population finds you a useless pile of trash, decides to make you the butt of jokes, Urinate on your picture, forms picket lines that are 500 times louder than you are whenever you speak/act/sing, chooses to spit near you when they pass by, Stands outside your apartment singing Puff the magic dragon, Marries your sister and runs her credit through the roof before running off with the maid Helga and her shaving Yak Hugo. Ummmm Sorry it’s their freedom of expression for your beliefs.

Unfortunately, there are many people out there who dislike the military right now. These are people who don’t get facts, they just go by whatever they hear more on T.V. I, for one, got the facts, and know about the military. My dad’s a Major in the Army. I’m just 16, but I still understand what freedoms we have and why. This Crook character is older than me, yet he’s only half as mature. I loved watching him tremble like a scared dog at the hands of Sean Hannity. I really respect Mr. Hannity and felt a very deep gratitude seeing him call Crook a moron. Crook couldn’t even form an argument. He kept mumbling about the pay structure. He’s just an idiot that spends all of his time behind his computer screen and broods about things he doesn’t understand. I could argue all day about why he’s such an idiot, but I won’t. I’m just going to take my leave here and say thank you to all of the veterans and soldiers that are keeping me and my loved ones safe from evil people who seem to hate freedom for whatever reason.

Michael Crook has absolutely nothing to do with politics kids. He simply buys domains with the most outrageous names and content and then sells them for profit. It’s a scam. The reason why he says such horrible things is to simply draw attention to his websites. He then claims that there is some type of community invoved and his websites get bought out. Sean Hannity is an idiot for having Crook on his show because he gave him national exposure and guess what that meant for his websites? That’s right, lots and lots of cash(around $100,000 for a single domain name). Sean Hannity basically helped Crook make money off of the suffering of our troops. Anyone that knows how to work a computer is aware of this. Evidently the good folks at FoxNews aren’t big on researching their guests….I need a drink.
