AUSThIN: Get the Fat out of Austin

Posted by Robbie Cooper on May 11th, 2005 | Trackback

That reminds of the time that myself (255 lbs) and my friend Brad (6′5″, 315 lbs) hailed a bike cab in front of the Gingerman on 4th St. and had him deliver us to Scholz Beer Garten on 16th St. If you’re from Austin, you know that is uphill almost the entire way from 4th to 16th.

Getting ready to leave the office and head straight over to Pease Park to play in the weekly mini (a one round, small entry-fee, weekly tournament, for those of you who don’t know) — one last chance to get in a practice round before this weekend’s Capitol of Texas Open (COTO) disc golf tournament.

Well, the pathway is cleared now for all those assholes to go out and destroy their livers without the alleged threat of destroying their lungs simultaneously.

Harry Reid: The Real Loser

Posted by Robbie Cooper on May 6th, 2005 | Trackback

Well, it’s a far cry from intelligent debate, but it’s a step forward in the devolution of debating style popular amongst today’s unhinged-left. At least Reid didn’t throw a pie at President Bush or ask him about sodomizing the First Lady.

On May 3rd I mistakenly posted that President Clinton would be appearing at Bookpeople in Austin on that day.

So, someone in GoogleLand wants to know inmates opinions on the death penalty? I’m going to hazard a guess at “Against it”.

ACL Music Festival — 2005 Lineup

Very few other band catch my eye. I’ll have to start exploring some of the music from bands on the list that I’m not familiar with and see which ones I might want to catch live.

To make an already abbreviated story even more so, my attorney says he can get the charges dismissed. The law is sticking all kinds of fingers in my asshole right now, but with a few savvy business deals, I can plow through this shit and come out smelling like roses. Ironic, really—to get out of this drug charge, I’m forced to arrange bigger drug deals than I ever intended to.

Reactions to Student Arrest

So, you’re one of the idiots on the riot squad? Surrounding and shouting at the officers? While they were attempting to do their job? You’re lucky that the lot of you weren’t arressted for obstruction or threatening an officer. And what exactly does ‘attempting to un-arrest’ mean?

An Evening with Ann Coulter

Posted by Robbie Cooper on May 4th, 2005 | Trackback

The remaining Q&A session went much more quietly. I even had the opportunity to ask Coulter about her opinion on the irony of liberal students running Military recruiters off their campuses while simultaneously stirring up rumors and fear about an impending draft.

Meanwhile, Coulter’s 7:30 p.m. speech at the LBJ Auditorium is only open to UT students, faculty, and staff. Unlike the lack of protestors at Clinton’s appearance, I fully expect Austin’s Professional Protestor class to be out in full force for this one.
