Alexander Martinez Volunteers for Execution
We need more death row inmates like Alexander Martinez — murderers who, after they have admitted to their ghastly crimes, do not try to stall the process:
HUNTSVILLE, Texas — About three months later than he anticipated, an apologetic condemned murderer enthusiastically went to the Texas death chamber for robbing and fatally slashing a Houston prostitute.
Alexander Martinez, a week shy of his 29th birthday, wanted no appeals filed to block his punishment and voluntarily went to the death house gurney Tuesday evening…
It’s important to note that the reason it was three months longer than anticipated was becuase his lawyer, Pat McCann, filed an appeal against Martinez’s wishes.
Note to scum-bag defense lawyers: When you’re defending a murderer who has confessed to the killings he has been charged with AND your client has said that he is ready for his execution—DO NOT continue to try to get paid or to push your anti-death penalty agenda on the tax payers of this state.
Animals like Martinez are why I support the use of the death penalty so vigorously. Remember what this animal did: he slit this woman’s throat with a knife and stole $150 from her. He then had sex with her dead body before he stuffed her lifeless body into a garbage bag. He then went home where he attacked his stepmother, seriously injuring her by slashing her throat.
Next on the schedule of executions in Huntsville: Charles Dean Hood, set to die June 30 for the fatal shootings of a man and woman in the Dallas suburb of Plano in 1989.

But you don’t think that Hood, who shot two people in the head and then shoved their bodies into a closet before he stole their truck and fled the state is an animal.
