This very interesting (at times amusing, at times depressing, at times infuriating…but always interesting) site got me to thinking:

QIf you were on Death Row, what would be your last meal request?

A — Gotta go with some comfort food — butter beans (with ham hock, onion, and lots of garlic), collard greens, garlic mashed potatos with thick white cream gravey, prime rib (rare) with a pile of sauteed mushrooms and onions and some creamy horseradish sauce, a couple pieces of fried chicken (thighs), and three sweet potato biscuits (with lots of butter). For desert, a fat piece of carrot cake, a scoop of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream, and a glass of cold milk.

Do they let you have wine if you request it? If so, two bottles of a good Cabernet Sauvignon…

One inmate (Jerry Paul Henderson executed by the state of Alabama on June 2, 2005) joked that he’d like to go to Red Lobster. Instead he ate regular prison fare of fish, coleslaw, baked beans and french fries.

I got to wondering where the tradition of the last meal started, and so I googled it and came up with this site with this. Note Texas special restrictions..lol

If I could only have one more meal, assuming I had an appetite with my impending doom, I think it would be of the highest possible fat content. Something like a cheeseburger, tots, cheesecake, amy’s dark chocolate ice cream with reese’s peanut butter cups, buscuits and gravy, etc…

If I had to choose a last meal, it would be a whole lot of discusting food so that the stress of facing my doom would make me nausiated and I would throw it all up everywhere on my way to the death chamber and the guards could have the pleasure of cleaning it all up.

Got something you want to say?
