Does Joe’s Blog Hold Clues to Minnesota Girl’s Disappearance?
Investigators are starting to examine the blog of Joseph Edward Duncan III to find clues and evidence regarding his possible involvment in the disapearance of a 5-year-old Minnesota girl.
In the very first entry to his blog, the FifthNail, Duncan mentions the disapearance of Leanna “Beaner” Warner (5) from Chisholm, Minnesota on June 14, 2003.
Chisholm Police Chief Scott Erickson said today:
…FBI and state investigators were trying to determine if Duncan was in the Chisholm area around the time Leanna disappeared. He said he hadn’t heard of any such evidence as of Friday.
If I were the FBI or state investigators I would start by reading this post by Steve at The DarkSide of PlanetHuff, where he has gathered and disected a wealth of information from several web sites where Duncan posted since 2003.
While Steve has not been able to conclusively put Duncan in Chisholm exactly on June 14th, he has made a strong enough argument to investigate further and to give authorities a good start.
Perhaps the FBI should hire Steve as a Crime Blogging consultant?

I believe Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the FBI are all over it, and may have found my blog entry a useful starting place. I imagine they’re light years ahead of me by now. Thank you for the recommendation and the link.

This person who calls himself JET is positively sick and my only hope is that the government learns to do something so that there wll be no more future cases. I also hope that the jury has no mercy and makes this evil person pay for all that he has done to this poor family. My prayers are with Shasta…Let’s finally do something right as a society and find this man guilty….
