The Top 10 Searches on Technorati today:

  1. “Stephanie Klein”
  2. Cafta
  3. “Seth Merrin”
  4. Liquidnet
  5. Konfabulator
  6. “Virtual Earth”
  7. “Karl Rove”
  8. “Harry Potter”
  9. Discovery
  10. Santorum

Of today’s Top 10, I have previously blogged about 2 of them. And, previous to looking them up, I had not even heard of 5 of them.

Yes, this is somewhat of a shameless traffic-grab. But I do think that the list of Technorati search terms is of interest and value to my readers.

  1. I’ve got a similar list at my site, but it allows members to rank the list so as to distinguish between popular and high-quality searches.

For example, I don’t think many people would consider “Harry Potter” or “Virtual Earth” to be very useful searches, but they are remarkable popular.

  2. I love Konfabulator. It’s free now, so go grab it.

  3. I’ve heard that, due to the booming blogosphere, technorati isn’t that up to date lately. That a lot of blogs have more links in reality than posted on technorati. Would that affect the top 100 blogs?
Apart from that issue, I love technorati: clean, understandable, reliable…
