Coservative bloggers have scathing words for Ms Sheehan

I haven’t exactly been tip-toeing around the subject of how I feel about Cindy Sheehan’s disgusting use of her dead son to further her own political agenda—an agenda, I remind you, that is in stark contrast to the actual life that her son lived.

I’m glad to see other conservative bloggers who are not afraid to speak the truth simply because her son died.

Probably the best—and most accurate and scathing—post I’ve read is from the lovely Annika:

Mrs. Sheehan should stop what she’s doing because she is going to get more soldiers and marines killed. She is asking the President to surrender. Let’s call it what it is. She is asking for the surrender of the United States. She’s asking us to declare defeat. And that is not going to happen. Not with this president. Given that we are not going to surrender, her continued protest will result in more deaths.

Thanks to the breathless coverage her anti-war allies in the media have given Mrs. Sheehan, the enemy is getting the impression that they can win if they can only kill more U.S. troops in the sneaky, cowardly way they’ve been using. People like Sheehan and her fawning fans hate this country, and they would love to see another Vietnam style defeat because they think America deserves defeat. i think that’s evil.

If Sheehan really wants the troops to come home, she should be doing everything she can to break the will of the enemy, so our men and women can do their jobs and get out of there as soon as possible. Instead she’s fueling the enemy’s impression that they are breaking our will. And if her actions lengthen this “occupation” (as she so tellingly calls it) one day longer than necessary, any extra blood spilled is on her hands.

So i’m not going to tip-toe around the subject of Mrs. Sheehan just because of her son’s sacrifice in a noble cause that i believe will keep me safe. No, Mrs. Sheehan is deluded and as long as she’s helping the enemy, whether intentionally or not, to her i say Fuck You.

Amen, Annie. Go read the entire thing.

But I’ll go even further…yeah, that’s right, Ms. Sheehan…I’m calling you unpatriotic. You don’t get to borrow any of your son’s patriotism this time…he left it all out on the battlefield. Because that’s what soldiers do.

And what you will never be able to understand, is that that is the noblest fate a man can endure.

I’m curious about the timeline here . Do you know when Casey Sheehan re-enlisted? And was it after he already did a tour of duty in Iraq? I looked around but haven’t been able to find the info.

[...] *** NOTE: While I think both of the above linked pieces are very well written and contain important and valuable points about Cindy Sheehan, the noble cause of bringing freedom to the people of Iraq, and ensuring the continued freedom of the people of the United States—I still most agree with the post written by Annika. [...]

What lies—come’on, be specific—are we telling about Cindy Sheehan? That she’s using her son’s name in a way and in a cause that flies directly in the face of the way he lived and believed?

Or are we lying when Cindy Sheehan blamed the Jews for her son’s death?

Maybe we’re lying when we said that Cindy’s family doesn’t even support her, despite the fact that they have come out and said they don’t—even her husband is divorcing her over this.

Maybe we’re lying when we claim that Cindy said, “this country is not worth dying for.”

Or, could it be, that Cindy Sheehan is the liar? Like how she’s flipped her story about the nature and demeanor of President Bush’s first visit with her? Or how she told Anderson Cooper—live on TV—that she never said those words attributed to her about Israel (when their are numerous cites of her doing excatly that)?

True patriots dont’ shit on the graves of brave soldiers—calling them “victims” instead of Heros. True patriots aren’t afraid to call a spade a spade, even if they lost their son. And Cindy is a spade.

Got something you want to say?
