Cindy Sheehan has asked why her son died. For what noble cause?

If you read nothing else, go read the moving post by Mohammed at Iraq the Model. If you have any doubts about why Spc. Casey Sheehan died after reading it…then there is no point in trying further to convince you.

And while you’re reading civil and well reasoned responses to Cindy Sheehan, do not miss Verifrank’s very eloquant piece.

NOTE: While I think both of the above linked pieces are very well written and contain important and valuable points about Cindy Sheehan, the noble cause of bringing freedom to the people of Iraq, and ensuring the continued freedom of the people of the United States—I still most agree with the post written by Annika.

Frankly, I’m disgusted by Cindy Sheehan and her entire entourage.

Why are you disgusted with Cindy Sheehan? She lost a son and she doesn’t have a right to protest? Who does then?

President Bush promised weapons of mass destruction and didn’t deliver on them. He has yet to apologize or explain. I think Mrs. Sheehan has every right to be angry. While our forces are concentrated in Iraq, it’s quite possible that Al Quada is planning an end run around our flank.

Those of us in the middle support the troops, no question. But we support the war in Afganistan because that was directly related to 9/11. Iraq is a huge distraction from it.

If you read nothing else, go read the moving post by Mohammed at Iraq the Model.

Uh-huh. Unfortunately…

“Bush has publicly denied that the United States has permanent designs on Iraq, and on February 17, 2005, Donald Rumsfeld told the Senate Armed Services Committee, “I can assure you that we have no intention at the present time of putting permanent bases in Iraq.” For all the Bush administration has done to verbally dispel notions that it seeks permanent bases, it continues to plan and construct bases that are built to last, well, permanently.”

“Here’s what we do know. In April of 2003, senior Bush administration officials told the New York Times that we were planning “a long-term military relationship with the emerging government of Iraq, one that would grant the Pentagon access to military bases and project American influence into the heart of the region.” Nearly a year later, in March of 2004, the Chicago Tribune reported that the U.S. was constructing 14 “enduring bases.” ..

Why are you disgusted with Cindy Sheehan? She lost a son and she doesn’t have a right to protest? Who does then?

Well, we do. No one is denying Sheehan the right to protest. But neither she nor the leftists, i.e., you, have the right to go unchallenged on the lies and bad behavior.

President Bush promised weapons of mass destruction and didn’t deliver on them. He has yet to apologize or explain.

Oh, he’s explained. Neither he nor I are going to do it again. And he owes no one an apology.

I think Mrs. Sheehan has every right to be angry.

For her to have the right to be angry, she would have to be right. She is not. But, hey wouldn’t want to stifle her right to be used by the left. :)

While our forces are concentrated in Iraq, it’s quite possible that Al Quada is planning an end run around our flank.

You learn this in War College?

Those of us in the middle support the troops, no question. But we support the war in Afganistan because that was directly related to 9/11. Iraq is a huge distraction from it.

You’re not in the middle and you do not support the troops. Skip the bullshit. No one is buying it.

In April of 2003, senior Bush administration officials told the New York Times . . .

An un-named source in the NYT. Oh yeah. I’m convinced. lol! Camp Cindy Crawford here I come!

” President Bush promised weapons of mass destruction and didn’t deliver on them. He has yet to apologize or explain. “

Oh, he’s explained.

Then where are they?

“We know where they are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat.” — Don Rumsfeld, March 30, 2003.

Where are they? For what purpose did Casey Sheehan die?

Then where are they?

For fuck’s sake. You’re an idiot (or so forgetful that you should seek medical attention) if you can’t remember all the other reasons Bush, Blair and everyone else put forth for toppling Hussein, and if you can’t remember that they weren’t the first people to claim Hussein had WMD. Indeed, Iraq told the UN it had WMD, and as of today, we still haven’t accounted for everything they told us they had.

Furthermore, if the absence of WMD is such an issue, why are we giving the Clintons a pass? I also am able to remember Billy lobbing cruise missiles into Iraq to distract us from certain grand jury testimony and impeachment proceedings, while telling us he was taking out WMD factories. And now you’re going to let Hillary get away with it? What did she know, when did she know it, and why did she let her husband get away with it?

But, of course, you don’t even want to look at it from those angles, do you? Get your head outta your butt, anonymous coward.

I’ve done some research on this. Associated Press did an article that never made it to print, about yellow cake uranium found in Iraq. Before you get all bent out of shape, it wasn’t the Niger stuff. This uranium, combined with the high explosives like DMX, which WERE highly publicized, would be enough to equal a “Dirty” nuke.

IAEA inspectors did travel to Iraq in early August for the agency’s semiannual inventory of nuclear material, which now consists mostly of “yellowcake” enriched uranium, a spokeswoman said.

Except for an amount that U.S. officials notified the agency it was removing to the United States, the IAEA verified that the yellowcake remaining in Iraq was the same as before the war.

We should Vigil at her house. A title rep buddy of mine got her and Pats address. [address removed by Robbie] Vacaville, Ca. See you there!!!

Interesting idea. Except for a few things:

1) She’s not there. And apparently isn’t planning on being back to CA anytime soon (she’s vowed to follow President Bush back to DC and set up camp there, too).

2) And this one’s the biggie — most people who are against Cindy Sheehan and her left-wing lunacy have jobs. Full-time jobs. And families to support (financially and emotionally).

We don’t have George Soros and Michael Moore to pay our bills for us while we don’t go to work and instead play boyscout/girlscout on the side of the road for weeks at a time.

3) At this time next year, the number of people who actually remember who Cindy Sheehan is will be about 10.

Her husband lives there. He and his neighbors have done nothing to merit harassment. Vacaville borders Travis AFB. There are a number of retired and active military in that town. Robbie, maybe you should remove the address.

Why do people attack people they don’t agree with?
