Simply one of the best things written about the entire Cindy Sheehan spectable comes from Jeff at The Shape of Days.
Here’s a snippet of his biting prose:
It takes a very special kind of moron to be persuaded by Cindy Sheehan’s particular brand of tripe — which, it’s worth nothing, is the same as the “Crawford Peace House’s†tripe, which is the same as the “Council for the National Interest’s†tripe, which is the same as “United for Peace and Justice’s†tripe, which is all essentially the same as Hitler’s tripe except so far those guys have succeeded in refraining from advocating the use of actual gas chambers. And the sort of moron who could fall for that stuff has already fallen for that stuff; they’re already out there waving signs that condemn Israel for atrocities in Lebanon and other absurdities. They’re already off their chains. There’s nobody susceptible to that particular virus of hate who hasn’t already been infected. Because believe me, everybody’s been exposed.
I guess the anti-war, anti-Israel, anti-whatever-you-got crowd is hoping that everybody wakes up one morning and says, “Hey, a mother. Ain’t that cute? Let’s all blame the Jews for the shit she’s pissed about.†And that’ll be the game, man. That’ll be it. US withdraws support for Israel, stops harassing innocent, peaceful Iran, pulls out of the racist occupation of the soon-to-be Islamic Republic of Iraq. The Jews (those dirty Jews) recognize the error of their ways and give up their dreams for a state with borders guarded by guns that symbolize that hated, hateful phrase, “Never again.†And soon, maybe not this year but maybe next, the dream of a peaceful, Jew-free world will be made real. Let’s all hold hands and sway…
Sorry, guys. We’re not falling for it. We — you know, the non-totally-fucking-idiotic people of the world — can see past the ends of our own noses. When given A and B and C we can see D for ourselves. We know better than to be fooled by your nonsense. It just ain’t working.
But by all means, you guys keep fighting the power, or whatever the hell it is you do. Because the more you speak, then less we have to fear from you.

[...] Cindy Sheehan — oppossing the war is one thing, but to defile the life and memories of your dead child to do so is disgusting. Cindy Sheehan started off as a media darling when it was conceivable that her protest was all about her dead child. But the more she carried on, the more she appeared as the side of celebrities, the more she grinned her way through staged-arrests, and the more she spewed antisemetic rhetoric, the more it became obviouse that it wasn’t about her son — rather it was all about her.
