Gary Lynn Sterling: To Die Today

Today, nearly 17 years after he admitted to killing 4 people, Gary Lynn Sterling will finally be put to death by the State of Texas.

Remember Sterling? He’s the guy who beat two of his elderly victims to death with a car bumper jack.

Next on the schedule for a date with a needle is Robert Shields, who will be put to death on August 23 of this year for the 1994 murder of 27 year-old Paula Stiner of Friendswood, TX. He murdered Stiner during the course of robbing her home and stealing her car.

Shields first beat Stiner with a hammer and then stabbed her 28 times until she died.
