Back in 2003, Barbara Streisand attributed an anti-war quote to Shakespear. She was wrong.

Well, now Babs has claimed that Thomas Jefferson—yeah, that Thomas Jefferson—said that “dissent is the essential aspect of patriotism”.

Once again Babs, you’re wrong.

The Shakespear quote you misattributed? Was penned by an anonymous internet prankster. The Thomas Jefferson quote? Written by historian Howard Zinn.

Why is this even worth writing about? Because it illustrates how unimportant and unoriginal are the thoughts and rhetoric of the Hollywood Limo-Liberals.

As CamEdwards.com noted:

This makes twice you’ve tried to make your thoughts seem more important than they really are by linking yourself to great minds.

It’s sad, really. But it’s also funny. So let’s all take a minute to point and laugh at Barbra Streisand.
