How much heart do my Houston Astros have after that heartbreaking last-at-bat loss two night ago? Well, they’ve traveled back to St. Louis, where they are currently 3 outs away from winning their first ever NL Pennant and earning the franchise’s first ever trip to the World Series.
They are leading 5-1 with the ‘Stros batting in the 9th.
During the flight from Houston, the ‘Stros were able to laugh about the big loss the night before. Brad Ausmus tapped Brad Lidge on the shoulder and said, “I think the plane was just hit by that ball that Pujols hit.”
Other baseball franchises might have better players, but few have more heart.
I can barely stand to watch.
