The Houston Astros franchise started in 1962. I went to my first game at the Astrodome when I was 10 years old with my Uncle Andy. I was at the last game ever played at the ‘Dome, and I was at the first ever played at Enron (now MinuteMaid) Field. I watched Craig Biggio take his first at bat 18 years ago as a speedy young catcher (he’s since played 2nd base and OF).
I watched them come within one game and one out of the World Series before.

But tonight there is joy in H-town! (and the ATX, too), for the might ‘Stros have won the NL Pennant, and are on their way to the World Series!
Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell have waited a very, very, very long time for this.
Now, how do I convince my wife to let me spend $700-2000 for a single ticket to one of the games in Houston?
UPDATE: The NLCS MVP goes to Roy Oswalt — 1.29 ERA, 2 Wins, 14 Ks. Amazing. Simply amazing.

Good luck to the ‘Stros. My Red Sox finally made me happy last season, maybe you can get that same feeling this season.
