It’s President Bush, not Mr. Bush
In yesterday’s NY Times Editorials/Op-Ed section, there is another hit piece on President Bush titled, Decoding Mr. Bush’s Denials
In the column, the writer repeatedly addresses President Bush as Mr. Bush.
I know how much you Lefties hate President Bush, but when did you decide that you also hated the office of the Presidency so much?
The proper way to refer to the President of the United States is by his title. Or if you’re speaking to him in person, as Mr. President.
I wasn’t a big fan of President Clinton — but I’ll always refer to the man by his title. The Presidency of the United States is worthy of no less respect than that.
Maybe it’s a military thing, where we were ingrained with using the proper and respectful titles for each rank, from a Private all the way up the chain to the President. And maybe it’s because so few of you lefties ever served honorably that you don’t care about the respect that should be afforded a position, regardless of the man or woman who holds it.

MORE: The Political Teen has also noticed the Democrats disdain for the office of the Presidency:
This is something that is quite common with Democrats, they refuse to refer to President Bush as the President. If they don’t think he is the President of the whole United States then why do they bother to live here?

“I wasn’t a big fan of President Clinton — but I’ll always refer to the man by his title. The Presidency of the United States is worthy of no less respect than that.”
That makes the total number of right-wingers I’ve seen give Clinton that same respect:
1.
Good work.
