Uplands Podcast updated weekly
Liz Phair has a podcast.
I just downloaded and listened to Liz’s first Podcast (from August 18), in which
Liz talks with her brother and also discusses traveling by train with her supporting act, the Cary Brothers. The initial podcast also contains two live performances: Table for One (unreleased) and Baby Got Going ( from whitechocolatespaceegg).
It’d be cool if some of my other favorite artists gave podcasting a try (I think Trish Murphy and Jeffrey Foucault’s personalities, music, and performances would lend themselves very nicely to podcasting).
It would be even cooler if someone would mention to Liz that Video Podcasting is even cooler than simply Audio Podcasting.
Ryan Saghir at Droxy (the Digital Radio Blog) adds this about Liz’s Uplands Podcasts:
Liz Phair on the otherhand, gets it [podcasting]. While she’s been on her latest tour, she been recording a bunch of songs live each week for her podcast. Not only that, but she sits down for a bit and blabs about it. She’s giving that one-on-one personal experience to her fans. Reinforcing her fanbase, rather than regurgitating to it.
Here’s the RSS feed for Liz’s podcasts.
