Alucard, commenting on this post at IMAO, reminded me of one of my favorite Simpons quotes:

Lisa: Didn’t you wonder why you were getting money to do absolutely nothing?

Grandpa: I figured cause the Democrats were back in power.

And I have to agree with Frank J. that House is the best drama currently on television, and they handle controversial topics better and more balanced than other show on the tube.
