Question: Did President Bush cause the military to go to war on the wings of lies?
Answer: At this point only a complete idiot would honestly answer Yes to that question. Which makes the answer a resounding NO; President Bush did not lie about Iraq’s possesion of or ability to manufacture WMDs. He did not lie about Saddam’s ties to and support of various terrorist organizations (to include al-Qaeda).

Jude Nagurney Camwell at The American Street wrote that “the Bush administration caused the military to go to war on the wings of lies…”
It’s becoming more-and-more apparent that the biggest lie is the endless parroting of “Bush Lied”.
Bryan Preston of JunkyardBlog has written a column for TechCentralStation.com titled Did Bush Lie? Ask Google. Read it. It’s a good starting point in the death of the “Bush Lied” meme:
Google is not just a search engine; it’s also something of a wayback machine. It can take us back to the last time prior to 2003 that the United States waged a campaign against Saddam Hussein.
If you go to Google and run a search using “Clinton Iraq 1998,” you will find at the time of this writing 3,010,000 hits. Time stands still for no net surfer, so your mileage may vary slightly. But you won’t need all those three million hits anyway. You can just click on the very first one, which will take you to a CNN story dated December 16, 1998 about President Clinton warning Iraq that its failure to comply with UN weapons inspections left him no choice but to attack. And attack he did, launching Operation Desert Fox, which destroyed Iraq’s intelligence headquarters and a few other points of concern. President Clinton’s reasons for the operation:
“Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons,” Clinton said.
And:
“Earlier today I ordered America’s armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces,” Clinton said.
“Their mission is to attack Iraq’s nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors,” said Clinton.

When you’re done digging through those 3-million+ sites, head over and read Michelle Malkin’s roundup of stories, starting with THE END OF THE “BUSH LIED” LIE.
If you still think Bush lied about WMDs, Saddam and his ties to terrorism, or any other facet of the War on Terror, read Glenn Reynold’s roundup at Instapundit.
If you’ve read any of these debunkings of the “Bush Lied” meme, and still insist on parroting the “Bush Lied” meme, then you are an idiot who is beyond reasoning with or redemption. Hell, I’m surprised you’re intelligent enough to figure out how to turn on your computer, fire up a browser, and type a legitimate URL into the address box.

Everybody who does not think exactly like me is a complete fucking idiot, I should win a Nobel Prize!
Pass the Buck
When Bush accused the democrats of false statements and rewriting history, he made a good first step, but he has to confront them eye to eye and preferably on national television. Unfortunately, I believe it’s the only way the public will believe him. I know that doesn’t say much for the general public, but I really believe the likes of Howard Dean have convinced the masses he did lie. And furthermore, the Republicans themselves aren’t doing Bush any favors by acting like a bunch of sheep. The President is asking the troops to risk their lives for our country. I believe he owes it to them and to us to stand up to his accusers.
[...] To read and understand the facts and quotes laid out by Greyhawk, and to then still cling to the Bush lied meme and to contend that there “were no weapons of mass destruction”, that Saddam did not present a threat to the United States, or that Saddam did not have any ties to al-Qaidea — well, to believe all of that in the face of overwhelming and irrerefutable proof to the contrary—you would have to be delusional, or just so overwhelmed by your hatred for the President of the United States that you don’t care about the truth. [...]
You guys should think outside the box. Sure, maybe Saddam had the ability to produce such weapons, but you all should know that Saddam has never attacked the US, nor would he ever do this. He has only attacket smaller countries, such as Kuwait and Iran. Anyone who thinks that he would attack the US is an idiot. What good did it do to the civilized world to go to war. Are we better than we were 3 years ago????? NO….. Bin Laden is still out there, so are about 1 million other wannabe suicide bombers that hate us more now than ever before.
Just because there are other threats in the world is NO EXCUSE not to rid the world of Saddam Hussien. I watched from the side of a mountain in Turkey what Saddam was capable of.
Whether he would or would not have attacked the U.S. is missing the point. He had already been agressive with allies of the U.S. were we to wait for him to do it again? I helped in the removal of bodies from the soccer stadium in Kuwait city where he hanged women, children and old people. Good Riddance to bad rubbish brother trucker.
