For those of you who are bent out of shape that our President has made you safer by listening to phone calls to and from known Al qaeda terrorists: please let go of your Bush Hatred Degrangement Syndrom for just a few moments and think about what you’re argueing against.
- President Bush does have the authority to do what he did.
- Congress has been briefed. They might try to deny it now, but when they thought it was done in secret, they knew what was going on.
If you don’t want the FBI or other members of our government (who are trying and succeeding at keeping you safer in your homes from terrorists attacks) from listening to your phone calls, here’s my easy 2 step plan:
- Don’t call someone from outside the US who is a member of Al qaeda.
- Don’t receive out-of-country calls from members of Al qaeda.
It’s a pretty simple plan. If you simply follow those two steps, then you will not have the government listening to your phone calls. If you do not think that you can abide by these two simple steps, I hope you die a sudden and violent death—today, before you and your Al qaeda buddies can plot to kill more Americans.

I’m on vacation, so with that I’m leaving to go play disc golf now. It’s a nice-enough winter day today in Austin to go enjoy a day at the park.

Bottom line is that this country is going to hell in a handbasket. The war in Iraq was just a front for something totally different, something that the public will never understand, yet, our soldiers are paying the price. Now is not the time to leave. If we did, all those soldiers died for nothing. We put ourselves in this mess, we have to stick it out till the finish and most people dont get that, which is quite sad, since its common sense.
