The Indepundit has declared all-out war on Howard Dean and his ilk in the Democratic party:

Until recently, I considered Dean, Pelosi, and company to be loyal opposition: politicians with whom I could respectfully disagree. I now consider them to be my enemy. I will do everything legally within my power to see that their agenda is defeated.

Go read the complete Mission Order and prepare to deploy.

And just for the record, Dean and Pelosi have been on my List of Miserable Creatures for quite some time — all of whom I consider to be my enemy.

  1. I’m sure I speak for all of us on the left when I assure you that we are quaking with fear.

Unhinged indeed. Did you read the silliness that Indepundit wrote? That boy ain’t right – he needs medication, not sheeplike followers.

  2. Thanks for your support. Ignore the trolls and take the fight to the enemy on Capitol Hill.

  3. Awww, that’s cute! You guys are so precious when you’re acting all insane!

But seriously, politics isn’t war, war is. Politics is supposed to be about debate and the exchange of ideas; unfortunately, your friend Indepundit has decided he’s done listening to other positions and will just reject them out of hand. It’s statements like Indepundit’s that drag our national discourse into the gutter and keep it there; that’s not a good thing for what’s left of Democracy in this country. I suppose it’s pretty good for Republicans winning elections, though.

Although I’m sure you’ll just ignore this, since I don’t agree with you and you’ll probably call me a troll immediately. Oh, well, have a nice day and happy holidays Merry Christmas anyway.

  4. Well, you guys not being able to figure out who is the real enemy is nothing new. Maybe some of you should deploy yourselves to Iraq if you believe so strongly in it, instead of making up nonexistent wars to pretend to fight from the comfort of your basements. Like The Chemist said, ploitics isn’t war, war is war.

    Happy Holidays Merry Christmas.

  5. Hah! I absolutely love that you logged in and changed my comment!

I said happy holidays because I meant happy holidays. If it was December 25th, I would have said Merry Christmas. But it’s not. There are multiple holidays this time of year. I hope each and every one of them is happy for you.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t think you’re an idiot.

  6. Hey John and “The Chemist” — you morons do know that I’m a disabled veteran right? That I’ve already done my tour in Iraq?

That “chicken hawk” meme doesn’t work quite so well when you throw it at a veteran, does it?

  7. No, it still works OK. Although I guess we could just switch to calling you something else. Any suggestions?

  8. I’ve already done my tour in Iraq

Good for you. I suppose you’re quite proud of your efforts to bring the Iraqis “freedom” and “democracy”. Too bad you couldn’t serve as a better role model when it comes to tolerance of dissent, an American value if ever there was one.

  9. “tolerance of dissent, an American value if ever there was one”

What kind of doublespeak claptrap is this? Do you mean to equate the virtue of letting people state positions with the wretchedness of letting these positions go unchallenged?

  10. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think you’re an idiot

    Gee, how tolerant of you.

Anyway, listen up kids. The time for “tolerance” has passed. There is only so much leftwing fascism we’re willing to take. Besides, we got our tolerance from leftwing role models like Daily “Screw Them” Kos and Howard “I hate Republicans” Dean. You should be proud!

  11. Hey, I didn’t say he couldn’t be an idiot, just that I thought he was one. I am totally tolerant of his right to be an idiot, or anyone’s right to be an idiot. But that doesn’t mean I won’t call him one.

What kind of doublespeak claptrap is this? Do you mean to equate the virtue of letting people state positions with the wretchedness of letting these positions go unchallenged?

“People who speak against me are my enemies and must be defeated” is hardly what I’d call an intelligent challenge to their position, my friend. That’s intolerance of dissent – saying that simply because people have dissenting ideas, they must be stopped and defeated and whatever else you do to enemies. Challenge positions all you want, but don’t “declare war” on them.

  12. There’s a pretty broad line between “dissent” and being on the other side. The people on my list have crossed over to the other side.

Ideas can be a dangerous thing when the people who boliviate on about them wish to see America fall at the hands of its enemies, and they have the power/platfrom to put those dangerous ideas into action.

There’s a reason that the fine men and women of our military overwhelmingly support the President and show nothing but contempt and disdain for Kerry, Dean, Murtha, Pelosi, and their ilk.

Say you “support the troops” ’till you’re blue in the face, but when the troops think you’re a piece of shit — well, you’re a piece of shit.

  13. From a comment on the Indepundit site, for those of you who think this is an attempt to “squelch” their dissenting voices:

I hate to point out the obvious, but a letter-writing campaign is an exchange of ideas. That is one of the fundamental ways of doing politics in America. The Left does letter writing campaigns all the time. What is your criticism of them?

Rather, it’s an attempt to get our voice heard.

  14. Hey, I didn’t say he couldn’t be an idiot, just that I thought he was one. I am totally tolerant of his right to be an idiot, or anyone’s right to be an idiot. But that doesn’t mean I won’t call him one.

Let me give this a try …

The Chemist Is A Clueless Moron

You’re right! I’m feeling more tolerant already.

  15. LT SMASH is a Chickenhawk

You know how sweet it is knowing you knew them way back when? That’s how I feel about Robbie down at UrbanGrounds. See, some lefty came by, and started throwing around the word “Chickenhawk” all over the place, thinking he knew what h…

  16. Let’s just state for the record that dissent is not now, never has been, and never will be “patriotic”–unless the person dissenting is, in fact, a patriot, and is doing so for patriotic, rather than personal political, reasons.

And there is nothing in their records of public service as elected officials to suggest that the likes of Kerry, Durbin, Pelosi, Boxer, Kennedy, Dean, Murtha, or the rest of the Defeatocrats, are in any way, shape or form patriots.

  17. Jeff H- Whatever you say…

How many bullets does one have to take for his country before he meets your standard.

Yet a willingness to have people to die in battle over phony intelligence is more patriotic, in what way?
