Jeff H- Whatever you say...

How many bullets does one have to take for his country before he meets your standard.

Yet a willingness to have people to die in battle over phony intelligence is more patriotic, in what way?

Let's just state for the record that dissent is not now, never has been, and never will be "patriotic"--unless the person dissenting is, in fact, a patriot, and is doing so for patriotic, rather than personal political, reasons.

And there is nothing in their records of public service as elected officials to suggest that the likes of Kerry, Durbin, Pelosi, Boxer, Kennedy, Dean, Murtha, or the rest of the Defeatocrats, are in any way, shape or form patriots.

Hey, I didn’t say he couldn’t be an idiot, just that I thought he was one. I am totally tolerant of his right to be an idiot, or anyone’s right to be an idiot. But that doesn’t mean I won’t call him one.

Let me give this a try ...

The Chemist Is A Clueless Moron

You're right! I'm feeling more tolerant already.

From a comment on the Indepundit site, for those of you who think this is an attempt to "squelch" their dissenting voices:

I hate to point out the obvious, but a letter-writing campaign is an exchange of ideas. That is one of the fundamental ways of doing politics in America. The Left does letter writing campaigns all the time. What is your criticism of them?

Rather, it's an attempt to get our voice heard.

There's a pretty broad line between "dissent" and being on the other side. The people on my list have crossed over to the other side.

Ideas can be a dangerous thing when the people who boliviate on about them wish to see America fall at the hands of its enemies, and they have the power/platfrom to put those dangerous ideas into action.

There's a reason that the fine men and women of our military overwhelmingly support the President and show nothing but contempt and disdain for Kerry, Dean, Murtha, Pelosi, and their ilk.

Say you "support the troops" 'till you're blue in the face, but when the troops think you're a piece of shit --- well, you're a piece of shit.

What kind of doublespeak claptrap is this? Do you mean to equate the virtue of letting people state positions with the wretchedness of letting these positions go unchallenged?

"People who speak against me are my enemies and must be defeated" is hardly what I'd call an intelligent challenge to their position, my friend. That's intolerance of dissent - saying that simply because people have dissenting ideas, they must be stopped and defeated and whatever else you do to enemies. Challenge positions all you want, but don't "declare war" on them.

Gee, how tolerant of you.

Anyway, listen up kids. The time for "tolerance" has passed. There is only so much leftwing fascism we're willing to take. Besides, we got our tolerance from leftwing role models like Daily "Screw Them" Kos and Howard "I hate Republicans" Dean. You should be proud!
