January 1, 2006.
Midway through winter. And it’s a balmy 82° outside. Mostly sunny, with a nice steady breeze.
Our red-tipped photinias in the backyard are full of new red leaves today. Poor things think it’s spring.

UPDATE: Looks like we’re going to max out at 85° today. Nice.

Yeah…it was about 80 here in the D/FW area! Of course I am recovering from a horrible cold, so I did not get out to enjoy it!! Its weird…I am a professional photographer and I have to shoot in the bitter cold and the elements all the time…never got a cold…I end up visiting the relatives during Christmas and BAM…the cold is born. Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts!
