Apparently God has answered all of the recent prayers of Denver Broncos fans and players.
In a press conference held earlier this week, God sent his one and only Son to play QB for the Denver Broncos in their AFC Championship Game today against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

UPDATE: Unfortunately for Broncos fans, it turns out that Jesus is a much better carpenter and Messiah than he is an NFL quarterback — the Steelers are leading the Broncos 24-3 at halftime. Of course, this does set the stage for a “miraculous comeback”.
UPDATE II: The Steelers beat the Broncos 34-17. Despite God’s One and Only Son playing QB for the losing Broncos, God admitted in a post game interview that He had already placed a heavy bet on the Steelers before sending his son to play for the opposition.
MORE: Not really related to Jesus playing QB for the Broncos, but the Steelers QB, Ben Roethlisberger has a blog. (Is Ben Roethlisberger Jewish? Because that would really make a great story if an unheralded Jewish QB beat a team that has Jesus Christ as their QB.)

it’s a sad day when my Lord and Savior can’t figure out the corners are playing the sidelines…at least he make a killing off his son’s sacrifice. yes, I feel the sacrilege.
I actually cracked up after I wrote that. God, I hate Steelers fans…
The real Jesus was mach darker, and semitic looking. Plummer only looks like what Christians would prefer to think Jesus looked like.
But, still, funny post, and great follow-up by Mac.
Its kind of sad that when someone has a beard, you guys automatically compare them to Jesus. Its just an athlete who does not shave. Im pretty sure that Jesus has alot more important issues to worry about then to help some dumbass athlete. Get over it.
Lighten up, Chris. It’s satire.
God hates you all.
