Scheduled for execution on Feb 15
Clyde Smith Jr. is scheduled for execution on Feb 15, 2006 for shooting to death two different Houston cab drivers, David Jacobs and Victor Bilton, in 1992.
The National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (NCADP) has listed a bevy of reasons that Smith should not be executed. But not a single one of those reasons is “He’s innocent; he didn’t commit the crimes for which he has been convicted”.
Why? Because his guilt is undenial and uncontested.
According to the Attorney General of Texas (Greg Abbott), Smith confessed to shooting both Jacobs and Bilton after bullets from a .38 caliber pistol found at Smith’s home matched ballistic tests from both murders. How did Police find Smith and the .38 caliber pistol? While investigating an incident at an apartment complex where Smith shot himself in the leg. The gun he shot himself in the leg with? The same one he used to murder both cab driver.
I don’t give a shit if his defense lawyer was drunk and passed out during Smith’s entire trial (he wasn’t) — the man executed two people during the course of robbing them. Two instances of capital murder. I wish there was a way he could be put to death twice.

i don’t care if his lawyer was asleep, drunk or mentally retarded. this man needs to die for his crime.
