From the Houston Chronicle:
DALLAS — A Dallas Democrat seeking election to the Texas House of Representatives has acknowledged that he once worked as a prostitute.
Tom Malin, a salesman [for Mary Kay] and actor, said he no longer works as a prostitute but conceded that his previous life could cost him the nomination in the March 7 Democratic primary.
Malin said he’ll stay in the race, claiming, “I know that there are people that can benefit from my experience.”
That last statement just kind of wierds me out…
But hey, if Marion “Bitch set me up” Barry can be re-elected after his conviction on drug charges*, then there’s no reason you can’t win this thing.
*In early October 2005, The Washington Post reported that Barry was under investigation (again) by the Internal Revenue Service for failing to file federal and District of Columbia income tax returns and pay his taxes, from 1999-2004. On October 28, 2005, Barry plead guilty to the misdemeanor charges stemming from the IRS investigation. He awaits sentencing, which will occur in January 2006.[2]
It was revealed in January 2006 that, in a drug test ordered by the court after pleading guilty to the misdemeanor charges, Barry reportedly tested positive for cocaine use.

Well, I don’ think he has much of a chance in Texas.
