Due to lack of health care professional to administer lethal injection

Sacramento, CA — The execution of convicted murderer and rapist Michael Morales was halted yesterday because:

Morales, 46, was scheduled to die at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, but it was postponed until 7:30 p.m. when two anesthesiologists, citing ethical concerns, refused to participate. The execution was called off about two hours before that.

“Any such intervention would be medically unethical. As a result, we have withdrawn from participation in the current process,” the doctors said in a statement released through the prison…[ ]

“We are unable to have a licensed medical professional to come forward to inject the medications intravenously, causing the life to end,” Crittendon said.

The doctors were not available to answer further questions as they had appointments to attend to at the local Planned Parenthood offices.

But hey, if you guys in California wanna borrow some of Georgia’s executioners, y’all just let us know. I’m sure we could have one of our “death techs” as they’re known, flown out there post haste. And failing that, we got plenty of people in our state who would “kill him myself”, if need be.

Just give us a call. We got cellphones and ‘lectricity and everythin’ now.

I think Fogel was surprised that San Quentin was going to try to go ahead with it. His asinine conditions were designed to stop it all together. One think I noticed during the governer recall in California, was how fast and easy the USDC and the 9th were willing to play with facts. It’s one thing to argue about law and contested facts, but they were construing the codes and making the most ridiculous arguments without any logic in order to stop the recall. I see the same thing here. The LI protocol is painless. Thousands of people have surgery every day while under sodium penth. The only difference is that they give you 5x more in a LI. What does he expect an anesthesiologists to detect? They are in a barbituate coma. And having a person push the drug is b.s., too. I’m inclined to send a nasty letter to Ken Starr.

This doesn’t sound right to me. It sounds like a set up. These anesthesiologists weren’t just hauled in from the street and then suddenly object on the basis of their oath. I hope some sleuth finds out what’s really going on.

That aside, what a monster this Morales guy is. IMHO don’t kill him, just torture him.

Did they call your party off,2?
A doctor`s code is to save lifes.
A `death tec ` does not have enough medical back ground by law.
Why don`t you apply as a `death tec`? You seem to be very good
informed.
You`re dying to kill someone.

The only person going on and on about parties is you, martian. It is you who see this as joking manner. Every time you post, you demonstrate your ignorance and lack of empathy for victims. Thank God you are as ineffectual as you are devoid of compassion.

Martin,

I’m a fomer combat medic in the US Army and licensed EMT — putting an IV in someone’s arm is pretty routine stuff. If they’d pay my air fare to CA, I’d do the job for them.

I gotta hand it to you,2. You really made me feel sick to my stomach.
Then I went over this website again and realized that most of the
comments are done by the same handful of persons .
So obviously I`m not the only one who develops those symptoms, when people read those remarks over the death penalty.
In addition to this your very poor explaination why Germany abolished the death penalty showed me that you will not have
many followers as the `messias for the death penalty`.
Robbie, you were trained to save lives. After reading your comments
about the war in Irak, death penalty, etc…. I have a lot of concerns to
sent you out there. You propably would let everybody bleed to death, who`s
not American or an allies. This would be considered a war crime.
How ever ,I start feeling sick again,I have to pull out of here, back
to civilization.
Good Bye 2,or do you prefer Robbie, may be Messias,or even Fuehrer
Enjoy your little world here
By the way I `m an RN for over 20 years

Even though I have no problem with the death penalty…I still would not want to be the one pushing the drugs to kill anyone reguardless of what they had done. Reason being….that makes me just like them. Nobody should be asked to do something like that. That is something that someone should volunteer to do. I am in the medical feild as well and I feel that my job is to help save the lives of people not kill them. I am not saying that it shouldn’t be done. I am saying that it shouldn’t be done by me. If those people did not want to do it…they should not even have to explain to anybody why that is. People should just respect the way that they feel. The way I see it, the jury is the one that chose death for the man. They should have asked one of them to come in and kill him

It was not a problem with “respect[ing] the way they feel.” They were being threatened with the lost of their licenses by those opposed to the execution. The judge knew this would happen and the conditions he imposed were designed to stop the execution. As it stands, the state is going to go back into court and challenge the magistrate’s ruling. I have no doubt the 3 drug protocol will be found constitutional. All this does is delay the inevitable. Unfortunately, the Winchells are in their 70s and have waited 25 years for justice for their daughter, Theresa.

First i would cut off his nuts, since he raped a girl. Then, I would looove to let the family of that girl electrocute him. I know that wont happen, but i do hope that he fries.
Funny thing is…. I dont see any anti death penalty groups at his side now. Makes you wonder.

You see, this is exactly the kind of problem that I have with some of the blogs on this site when it comes to the death penalty. I am a firm beleiver in the death penalty. I am a firm believer in Justice being served to those who deserve it. However, I know that there is a difference between the death penalty and revenge. I do think that some of the victims families are brought peace by the death penalty. Not by the criminal being dead but by the whole thing finally being over for them. I do not however feel that it is possible to gain closure by someone else losing their life. The only thing that will ever bring closure to the victims family is for them to find peace in there hearts amongst all of the anger and hate. That is the real closure. I myself have had a loved one murdered and I have had to learn how to forgive. Not for them but for myself. Some of the people that post on here like Chris looks at Capital Punishment as nothing but vengence. By making such hateful comments about someone, reguardless of what they have done, only puts him down to their level.

And I hate people who think they have the right to tell victim’s family members how they should or should not feel. Also, Chris’ anger is appropriate and he has the right to express it. For you to cluck your tongue at him is childish.

So basically what you are saying is that Chris has the right to express his anger by saying that he would cut off someones nuts but I am not allowed to express my opinion on that comment. And that makes ME childish? WoW!! I cannot even comment on that. I can say that I am LMAO.

Now, you’re really being childish. Has anyone stopped you from expressing your opinion? Just because you have an opinion and express it doesn’t mean I, and others, don’t have the right to criticize it.

you said and I quote:

“And I hate people who think they have the right to tell victim’s family members how they should or should not feel. Also, Chris’ anger is appropriate and he has the right to express it. For you to cluck your tongue at him is childish. ”

First of all, I AM a victim’s family member and I never once told anyone that they HAD to feel a certain way. I simply stated how I felt and what worked for me and what I believe could work for others who have been victimized by murderers.
Secondly, you have stated that Chris’ anger is “appropriate” by saying that he would cut someone’s nuts off. What if he really did? Would that be “appropriate”? Or is it only “appropriate” to think about it and comment on it but not actually do it? Seriously, explain this to me, because I am a little confused as to what is actually “appropriate”.

Oh, please! First, that you are a victim’s family member doesn’t give you the right to tell other victim’s family members or other people how they should feel, which you clearly did. I quote, The only thing that will ever bring closure to the victims family is for them to find peace in there hearts amongst all of the anger and hate. Second, Chris has as much right to express his views as you claim the right to express yours. However, you want to be able to criticize other people’s views, but object when people criticize yours. Too bad. And. as to what forms of expression are “appropriate” on this blog is ultimately up to Robbie.

I stated:
“The only thing that will ever bring closure to the victims family is for them to find peace in there hearts amongst all of the anger and hate”

I don’t believe it says anywhere in that statement that they have to do this. It simply states that this is what will bring peace in someone’s heart.

I stated:
“Some of the people that post on here like Chris looks at Capital Punishment as nothing but vengence.”

Now since you are obviously seeing things in my posts that I am not seeing, please show me in this statement where I said that Chris could not state his opinion? Clearly, both of these are comments of what I believe and think. Neither one of them are me telling anyone what they can and cannot do. Now read it carefully next time so that you don’t get so confused.

Martian, I missed you!!

You seem more obsessed with murder than anyone here. Always talking about the parties. You claim nausea, yet keep on posting. Is it some type of voyeurism?

Cut his nuts off!

Got something you want to say?
