Chicago’s St. Xavier University is hosting Cindy Sheehan (billing her as a “Peace Mom” — I’m sorry, I just threw up a little in my mouth) on Thursday, Feb. 16.
The press release lists Deborah Snow Humiston, the Assistant Director of Media Relations of St. Xavier, as the contact for this event. John Ruberry at Marathon Pundit wrote Ms. Humiston to ask:
Is Ms. Sheehan being paid to speak at St. Xavier? If so, how much? And if so, is tuition money funding her speaking fee?
Ms. Humiston has yet to reply.
From the St. Xavier press release:
Chicago (Feb. 2, 2006) – U.S. peace activist Cindy Sheehan will give a lecture titled “One Person Can Make a Difference, Not One More†at Saint Xavier University’s Shannon Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16. This will mark Sheehan’s first lecture on a college campus and in Illinois.
Emphasis mine. Because, didn’t Mother Moonbat get paid $11,000 to speak at The State University College at Oneonta (SUCO) back in November last year? The same night that they paid Lt. Col. Scott Rutter, who retired from the Army in November 2003 after leading a mechanized infantry battalion into Baghdad only $600 to give the opposing view point?
This quit being about Spc. Casey Sheehan a long time ago. But that hasn’t stopped Mother Moonbat from cashing in on his name with her “absolute moral authority”.

[...] Unlike here and here, where Cindy cashed in on her son’s death and lined her own pockets, this time Cindy Sheehan is donating the proceeds to a non-profit “charity“. [...]
[...] Despite rolling in the cash from media appearances and speaking fees and selling herself on Ebay, she just hasn’t been able to get it together. Citizen Smash can attest to that. [...]
