A Final Word on James Frey

Literary agent drops lying author

First Oprah called belittled James Frey in front of the 20-gazillion (approx.) people who watch her show each day. She called him a liar and told him that the truth does matter, and that there are consequences for lying.

Today the other boot hit the floor for Mr. Frey (pronounced Fry).

Brillstein-Grey Entertainment literary manager Kassie Evashevski, who represented the author of “A Million Little Pieces” for more than four years, said she’s not representing him anymore because of his tall tales.

I’m thinking that we won’t be hearing much more from Mr. Frey. About the only thing left to do is move his current book from the Non-fiction section to the Fiction section. And shortly after that, to the bargain bin.

  2. The few excerpts I heard from the book, I could easily discern they were made up. I’m not sure why Oprah and his agent couldn’t do the same. Were they born yesterday?

  4. This, I do not get. Either a book is good or bad. Most of what people tell me to be their life stories are major exaggerations. I don’t get it, I’m missing something?
