Unannounced hiatus from blogging the last several days.
The wife and I went to Mardi Gras down in Galveston on Friday for her birthday — nice crowds, lots of beer and beads, good music, great food, etc. We stayed with my brother and his family, who live just 23 miles north of Galveston.
Saturday, my brother and I played in a disc golf tournament in Houston (in horribly windy, rainy, and cold conditions).
Today, the weather was perfect for my nephews’ Baseball Slugger competition (kids get 10 pitches from a pitching machine, then are graded for their longest hit and for hitting consistency).
And now we’re finally home after a long and very full weekend.
