We have this headline in today’s Austin American Statesman:
Democrats feel vindicated that redistricting is going before Supreme Court
They feel vindicated? Even though they have about as much chance of winning as Kinky Friedman does of being elected the next Governor of Texas?
Even Stanley “Tookie” Williams had his case go beforee the Supreme Court of the United States. I wonder if he felt “vindicated” while he was strapped to that gurney?

The Texas redistricting was a travesty but I’d rather keep the new districts and beat Tom DeLay than give him back his old, safe district.
