UW-Madison Students: Domestic Enemies of the US Military

Picket and protest the brave men and women of our military to your little socialist-heart’s desire. But my tolerance for “free speech” and “dissent” stops when you start physically attacking them.

Campus liberals are showing their support for our troops again in that special way that only the Left knows how to show support — with criticism, violence, or vandalism.

The Army Recruitment Center is often a target of anti-war protests due to its location and accessibility to campus.

“It’s one of the main institutions of the military that is on our campus,” Pryse said.

“It is something that we as students can affect directly. As of now, ROTC’s function is to train officers to go and fight in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and possibly future wars,” he added.

Stephanie Jung of Stop the War said the broken window could give the Madison anti-war movement the spark it needs.

I am all in favor of people using force — lethal if necessary — to protect their families, homes, and businesses from violence and/or vandalism. I know that if a hippie college kid were standing in the driveway to my house, with a brick in his hand, raised to throw it through one of my windows, I’d level my 12-guage shotgun right at his mid-section until he put it down.

I think Army recruiters should be able to do the same.

The Army recruiters near the UW Madison campus should simply post a man 24/7 inside the front window, and he should be allowed to use any weapon for which he is qualified (9mm pistol, M-16 rifle, M203 grenade launcher, M2 .50 Cal rifle, etc.) to defend his post against these latte-fueled, sense-of entitlement, ungrateful idiots from further attacks on US Military property and personnel.

Yes. I am advocating the defensive shooting of college students (or other professional protestors) who engage in acts of vandalism and physical attacks against US Military property and personnel as a “justifiable” and “reasonable” form of dissent or protest.

And fuck yes I’m questioning their patriotism.

Because I don’t see much difference between an al Qaeda insurgent who attacks our US troops in Iraq and a hippie college kid who attacks our Soldiers in Madison, Wisconsin. Both of them have the same objective — they are rooting for and striving towards the failure of our military mission in Iraq. One’s a foreign enemy, the other is a domestic enemy.

MORE: My brother, a SFC in the US Army and in command of a Recruiting station in the Houston area, said he’d prefer if the Left would quit “supporting” him and his Soldiers — he said they’re tired of replacing windows on their Recruiting station, repairing their vandalised cars (both POV and Govn’t issued), and dodging your F-bombs out in public.

  1. I suspect they are longing for the good old days of the anti-war movement in Wisc. when they blew up campus buildings and the grad students in them.
