Once a thug, always a thug
Snoop Dogg — real name Calvin Broadus, 34 — a former associate of Los Angeles gang the Crips has reminded us once again that a thug-is-a-thug, no matter how much money he makes or how many records he sales:
LONDON — Rapper Snoop Dogg and five associates were arrested after a fracas at Heathrow Airport that injured seven police officers, British media reported Thursday.
Six men were arrested on charges of violent disorder and affray and spent the night at London police stations. Police did not name the men, but said all were U.S. citizens in their 30s.
Seven officers received cuts, bruises and other minor injuries, the force said.
If this guy wasn’t selling records, he’d be making license plates for a living. I’m sure Snoop will walk away from this unscathed, and that members of his entourage will take the fall for him (if anybody has to actually be held responsible for their thuggish, violent, and criminal behavior).
Has the “race card” been played yet?
Some of Snoop’s lesser-possee-members couldn’t get into the VIP lounge because they didn’t have first class tickets — which are required to enter the VIP lounge. But I’ll bet Snoop and his peeps claim that they were refused because they’re black (and look like they might start a riot — which they did).
I’ll bet the race card comes out in the very first public statement from Snoop or his people.

MORE: I prefer the local reporting of the incident better:
A Heathrow worker told the Standard: “There were all these huge, 20-stone men smashing up display cabinets and throwing people around. I saw Snoop Dogg on the ground, with four riot police trying to put him in handcuffs. His minders were throwing bottles at people.

As your deathrow threads have proved, thuggery is sexy!
