What is it with the Left these days? Why do they believe that Freedom of Speech only applies to them, but not to those who hold opinions and beliefs contrary to theirs?
Why do they believe they have the right to use their Freedom of Speech to shout down, intimidate, and squelsh the rights of others?
Even more disturbing — why does the Left believe that their Freedom of Speech rights include violence and destruction of private property if necessary to silence their opposition?
The latest example:
Sally Jacobsen, a longtime professor in NKU’s literature and language department, said the display was dismantled by about nine students in one of her graduate-level classes.
“I did, outside of class during the break, invite students to express their freedom-of-speech rights to destroy the display if they wished to,” Jacobsen said.
The Party of Tolerance? Sure. Unless you disagree with them. In which case you might as well plan on calling 911 and asking for the Police, an Ambulance, and probably the Fire Department, too.

What the Professor Of Hate forgot to include in her statement, but was captured on film — is that, in addition to inciting criminal acts, she participated in them too.
She should — but won’t — be fired. Immediately.
Most universities have penalties for hate speech and hate crimes. They also have codes that profess to an acceptance and tolerance of “diversity” of opinions on campus. This professor and her students thugs have violated both.
Unless this Professor and her fellow thugs are kicked off campus, then the university is complicit in their acts of intolerance and vandalism.

Graduate students? I hope they all are charged and convicted of their crime and I hope their record follows them around for a few years while they stand in the unemployment line.
I agree with you that morons on both sides need to learn to accept free speech. This tactic is almost exactly the same as the right-wing thugs who destroyed Sheehan’s soldiers’ memorial. Unacceptable behavior in both cases.

Oh, give us a break! It was not a soldier’s memorial but more political theater by Sheehan, ANSWER, Code Pink whack jobs. They put it up without any regard to the feelings of the dead or their families. One father took his son’s cross down and the nuts put it back up. If I had family die in Iraq and found a cross put up in distinct contradiction to his/her feelings, I wd destroy it, too. But, unlike the guy in the truck, I would kick Sheehan’s ass before I left.
The “thugs” Dan referred to were family members (according to the press). Wonder how he’d feel if his kids names were written on crosses and staked out along I-35?
Man, I’d forgotten the backstory on the Sheehan memorial — Yeah, if someone tried to use my kids/wife/brother’s name and memory in such a way, I’d plow it under too.

Again, moonbatitis compels you to project your problems on others. Maybe, the army can help you out in that you might become more sensitive and not advocate for the use of dead soldiers for political purposes, especially when it is contrary to their own and families’ beliefs. More likely than not, you would be found psychological unfit for the military. However, don’t let that stop you from seeking some form of help for your problem(s). Make an appt. with a shrink. They are developing new medications every day. There’s got to be something to help someone like you.
Professor Equates Crosses to Nazi Displays
You actually have the audacity to compare the display of white crosses and a simple sign of “Cemetery of the Innocent” to Nazi displays? Is this what you teach your classes? Because YOU felt outrage, it justified your actions?

The cult of George Bush, six years in office and all we have is fiscal irresponsibilty and rampant cronyism and lets not forget Iraq which had nothing to do with 9/11 is costing about 2.5 billion a day and killing our men at a rate of about 40 a month with no end in sight. The Right likes to talk so much about “right and wrong” and “morality”. Well, the display of the crosses was wrong. It was offensive and immoral, and it should not have been approved by the school in the first place.
One can argue about whether what the students was correct, but you’re grasping at straws calling the removal of crosses “destruction of property”; exactly what property has been “destroyed”? What monetary value can be placed on the property? How hard would it be to replace it?
After years and years of right wing nuts blocking abortion clinics and even committing murder, it is pretty telling that this is the best right wing nuts and extremists like you can come up with in terms of offenses on the left.
