Saltgrass Steak House: Supporting our Soldiers

On Friday we went to dinner at the Saltgrass Steak House in Clear Lake, TX (20241 Gulf Freeway) — our dinner party consisted of me and my wife and my brother and his family (wife and three kids).

My brother — who is an active duty Soldier in the US Army — asked the waiter if Saltgrass offered a Military discount. The waiter wasn’t sure, so he went and asked the manager.

The manager came over to our table to talk to my brother and wish him a happy Memorial Day weekend, and then knocked 50% off our group’s entire dinner. Not just my brother’s dinner, but the entire table.

So, I wanted to thank Saltgrass for supporting our troops and to let them know they’ve gained a very loyal customer.

That’s great, and good of you to spread the word about a business doing the right thing.

What a great story! It is always good to hear things like this! I attended a Memorial Day service in the cemetery where my father is buried (he fought in WWII and Korean War) and I was just blown away by the amount of people that showed up. This is just a small cemetery in Waco that happens to have a lot of veterans buried there, but people came in droves to show their respect and it deeply moved me…I posted some pics I took at the event over at my blog, so if you get a chance to come by it would be cool!
