Sean Derrick O’Brien was scheduled to die on May 16, 2006. But he was granted a last minute stay based on the argument that the lethal drug combination used to execute prisoners causes unnecessary pain, violating constitutional protections against cruel and unusual punishment.

Today, O’Brien — who kidnapped, raped, beat, and then murdered two teenage girls — has a new execution date.

When I first heard that O’Brien had a stay, I wasn’t concerned that the stay would be lifted and that he would eventually die for his crimes. I was concerned that it would be years before that new date was set.

Fortunately, State District Judge Jan Krocker set the new execution date for July 11. About a month and a half from now.

I hope that whatever fear O’Brien must have felt in the days and moments leading up to his initial execution date are revisited upon him ten fold as he faces them again.

  1. I hope the same thing. i wish I could be there to watch him die. Too bad it cant be more painful. I used to live in houston and I remember the 2 girls that this happened to. Its cases like this that make the death penalty very much worth it.

  2. For once, a reasonable judge. I had the dog I loved put to sleep with a combination of lethal injection drugs. Surely, it’s good enough for less than a dog O’Brien.

This is blatantly ridiculous. The murderer is going to sleep just like somebody having surgery. The difference is he won’t be waking up.

  3. Hello everyone!
I am 25 years old freelance journalist and working with my first two books at the moment. One book is a biography for my uncle, who was a known artist here in Finland. He had neat; naïve and also surrealistic paintings. Another book is something I am going work together with my fiancé.

I have been writing with inmates since late 2003. I have one friend in Arizona (death row) and someone truly special in Polunsky. ;-)
I also have two other friends in Texas (life sentence).

And yes, I am engaged and soon to be married.

    All my love,
    Noora

    ODE TO NOORA

    Oh Noora oh Noora
    O’Brien adores ya
‘Write me some filthy sex notes’ he implores ya
And of course you do, sitting safe in Helsinki
Writing to help him jerk off, his murdering winkie.

However the thought of that lethal injection
Goes someway to cooling this killer’s erection.
And at least he’ll be safe from your sexual infection.
When he’s gone will you cope with your social rejection?

How stupid I am, of course you will
You have plenty of other boyfriends who kill.
I’m sure every night you thank God, Jesus too
That victims have died so you have something to do.

If murdering stopped, and Death row was clear
You’d have to confront your biggest fear
Being left all alone with a failing career
But killing continues so don’t shed a tear.

Oh Noora oh Noora how low can you go
I’ve just read your posts on the PTO
The injection, don’t worry, he will not feel a thing
And at least he’ll be safe from John William King

  4. Noora has a meaningful relationship with O’Brien they are deeply in love. She is engaged to many men on DR . how dare you mock it.

    • I know this is an old post here but I just found this and after reading her comment…

How can anyone give the time of day to a vicious raping murdering piece of filth like this…and I’m sure she has moved on to other filth now that he’s been exterminated.

We’re driving through Huntsville this weekend..and I’ll be sure to spit on his grave…again.

      Filthy monster…

      And the leader is next!
      In August!
Pretty soon they can call burn in hell together sucking Satan’s c*ck.

      • You don’t judge a man by one day of his life. Okay, two days. He raped, eviscerated, and slit the throat of Patricia Lopez, 27 y/o, a mother of two. http://goo.gl/bChn

If you want a good laugh, read this crap: http://goo.gl/Z8zq

        • I had to stop reading..I almost hurled my lunch…

That idiot stated..how many released caused murder again??
          A precious few…

          A PRECIOUS FEW?!
Any murder that happens again is an abomination..
I’m sure that skank is married to one of those filthy monsters…

        • Leftard heart-ache: Crime is committed by criminals

Here’s something the left and the thughuggers will shriek over or totally ignore. Famous leftist admits that there is no correlation between bad economic times and crime. In fact, it seems to drop.

        • It is not privation that breeds crime. It is the culture of grievance, entitlement and greed, tossed in with a heavy dose of old-fashioned selfishness and lack of empathy for one’s fellow creatures. These things take root in single-family (specifically, no-father) households and the absence of discipline and responsibility.

          My thoughts exactly…
But I’m also sick of people that say they had a terrible dad or no dad or blah blah blah…
A lot of people have shitty up bringings and they grow up to be law abiding citizens, breaking the chain and teaching their children the right way to live and prosper.
So I have no sympathy for these monsters…or their bimbos.

  5. We use to call those women – SLUTS!!!

  6. Is that an acronym,?

  7. The THINGS some journalists will DO for a story !

    DISGUSTING !

  8. O’Brien Deserves punishment for sure, as do all murderers and rapists etc. The death penalty is the only suitable punishment for such crimes in my opinion. But what happens if someone is framed for murder and then convicted. They get the death penalty even though they are innocent. Thats why I think their need to be stricter laws concerning judgements based on biased feelings toward a defendant rather than actual evidence. In other words judges should not be able to judge a suspect on whether he/she thinks they are guilty or not.

  9. RW: Your understanding of the criminal justice system is flawed. Judges and juries are not allowed to find a defendant guilty merely because they think they are guilty. Due Process requires that a reviewing court determine that any rational trier of fact could have found the essential elments of the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt. Additiionally, this determination is subject to multiple reviews on appeal.
