CNN has a story with the recently released photo of Abu Ayyub al-Masri, the new leader of al Qaeda in Iraq.
Also known as the next soon-to-be-dead leader of al Qaeda in Iraq.
It sort of reminds me of Richard Bach’s Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, in which the hero, Donald Shimoda, shys away from being the next Messiah because, “I saw what happened to the last one.” I doubt al-Masri ever read the book, though.
