Murdered while home on leave
Chief Petty Officer Kameron Pratt (34) was home in Dallas enjoying two weeks’ leave during his fourth overseas tour of duty in the last four years — the latest in the Middle East aboard the USS George Washington.
CPO Pratt survived four over seas tours. But with just three days left before he was to return to duty, he was murdered during a senseless carjacking:
…an unidentified carjacker shot him after dragging him from his pickup at his parents’ home in Dallas’ Red Bird area.
Mr. Pratt stumbled to the porch of the home, where his family has lived for about 30 years.
It was there, in a manicured neighborhood where some folks still leave their doors unlocked at night, that his older brother, Keanon Pratt, found him semiconscious.
Keanon Pratt said he dialed 911. He performed CPR. He cradled his brother.
Kameron Pratt tried to speak. But blood pooling in his mouth prevented it. Paramedics arrived and rushed him to the hospital.
And minutes later, he died.
I can’t tell you how sick this makes me. This man wasn’t killed by the enemy while wearing his uniform…instead he was gunned down by two sick animals whose freedom CPO Pratt had devoted his life to defending.
Tomorrow morning, the Patriot Guard Riders will join the Pratt family, their friends, and their community to bury this brave sailor.
Today, the Dallas PD arrested two men — Itar Elan Kissentaner, 26, and Michael Dewayne Walton, 34 — for the murder of Pratt.
Both men had previously been sentenced to 15 years in prison for various crimes. Mr. Walton was released in December 2004 after serving his full sentence for sex assault, three robberies, assault and stealing a car. Mr. Kissentaner was given parole in August 2004 for a robbery conviction.
The two will be charged with Capital Murder, which carries the death penalty in Texas. Lethal injection is way too good for these two subhuman thugs. Instead, they should be sent to Iraq in CPO Pratt’s place. Just drop them off with nothing but the clothes on their backs somewhere in the middle of Fallujah.
The crimes were so sickening, that even Pratt’s mother wants these guys dead:
Mrs. Pratt said the death of her son has made her rethink her stance on lethal injection.
“My pastor says I shouldn’t believe in the death penalty – and I never have,” she said. After a beat, she continued. “But as of this day, as of this hour, may God have mercy on their souls.”

Keelhaul the both of them. Do it on the George Washington. If they make it past the props, then ship them to Iraq. Fair winds and following seas, shipmate. Chief going ashore.
