The best way to define Liberalism is to simply shine a light on their own words and actions, and let them define themselves.

Texas Rainmaker has boiled it down to 25 words, with links:

Patriotism sickening.

Terrorists winning.

Terrorists are freedom fighters.

Troops are murderers.

9/11 was an inside job.

Illegals & felons should vote…for Democrats.

Traitors are heroes.

This is silly and pointless. So all “liberals” think 9/11 was an inside job? Give me a break. Those peoople are lunatics (I do listen to the Alex Jones show on occasion for the entertainment value). So all liberals are unpatriotic? This type of list is just plain stupid. What’s the point?

Stop giving yourselves high-fives and move on to something productive.

Of all the points listed above by the Rainmaker, the “9/11 as an Inside Job” point is probably not that prevalent amongst most Liberals (the “we had it coming” or the “we deserved it” rhetoric is much more common on the left than the conspiracy theories).

But the rest of the the points? Pretty damed widespread on the Far Left (which is the mainstream faction of the Liberal Party). Hell, most of those views are held and espoused by the Democratic Leadership (such as it is). And when any Democrat (Hillary and Lieberman) dare oppose it, they are denounced and booed by their own.

Yeah, I’ll obviously concede that this list doesn’t define all Liberals. But it does define the larger movement of Liberalism in this country today.

I’m with ‘Person’.

To elaborate:

For all of the complaining on the right about liberals ‘hating America’ it’s awfully ironic that they can’t stop complaining about (read: hating) actual Americans.

Read the post again, Texas Rainmaker didn’t say it. Read the links, they speak for themselves.

Skul-
I’ll turn that back to you: read the posts.

These link purport to represent ‘liberal opinion’ yet in several they are simply news reporting raising questions: did troops beat Zarqawi? I don’t know but is it forbidden to ask the question?

In others, they are advocated by whack jobs or are mistatements disavoved by Democrats. No, mainstream liberal thought does not believe that 9/11 was an inside job anymore than mainstream conservative thought claims that the UN is a plot for ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT and liberals do not claim that non-citizens should vote.

In others the opinions do not match the claim: Democrats are not advocating for the right of felons to vote- they are advocating for the right for all free citizens to vote.

This just isn’t a serious post- it exists simply so conservatives can feel good about being conservative rather than dealing with the tough issues that might actually make them question if their side has the best answer or not.

Got something you want to say?
