Uncle Jimbo vs. Ehren Watada
Over at BlackFive, Uncle Jimbo lays a heavyweight beatdown-of-a-fisking on Lieutenant Deserter Ehren Watada. Here’s the start. Go read the entire thing.

I know a stunt when I see one, being a stuntmaster myself. LT Ehren Watada is playing a game with all of us and apparently willing to go to jail over it. Bravo you clown, enjoy Leavenworth. But you don’t get to just preen and prance around on stage all gussied up for your 15 minutes, oh no you put the crosshairs on yourself and even I can pull a trigger. Here is fancy pants man’s miserable snivel an Op-Ed piece in the Honolulu Advertiser, FORWARD FISK!
My name is Ehren Watada. I am a U.S. Army commissioned officer. Currently, I am awaiting charges for refusal to participate in the illegal war and occupation in Iraq.
Cough Bulls**t. You are grandstanding and attempting to martyr yourself to further the anti-war movement.
I was born and raised in Hawai’i. As a child, my family instilled in me a moral sense of right, wrong and giving of one’s self.
You obviously learned war protesting at the feet of your Vietnam opposing Pops. He must have been so proud yesterday with you being the perfect disgrace for Father’s Day.
My decision to reject unlawful and immoral orders in spite of the danger, has taught me the true meaning of sacrifice.
In spite of the danger? You dung beetle, it is shameful for a gutless weasel like you who is refusing to go to war to credit yourself for accepting the danger of writing Op-eds and backstabbing the men you thankfully are not leading.
Since you knew that individual soldiers do not decide the legality of wars you are simply trying to encourage others to follow your illegal acts.
In March 2003, I joined the military because I felt the pull of duty, service and patriotism.
Liar, you joined to pull this stunt. I don’t believe a single thing you say because your actions prove your intent

Ehren Watada was raised for this moment in time by his old anti-war activist parents. Ehren Watada was trained for this moment by anti-war activist organizations. He never intended to be a real Soldier. His plan was always to become a martyr for the anti-war movement.
While at the funeral of a real Soldier, I overheard a crusty old Vietnam Veteran say about John Murtha, “I wouldn’t piss on him if his hair was on fire”. Well, in regards to Ehren Watada — if his hair was on fire, I’d piss on his leg.

On what basis is ‘Uncle Jimbo’ claiming that Lt. Watada joined the US Army with the intent of filing a conscientious objection to fighting in Iraq?
BTW- do you really consider this a ‘beatdown’? I’m sure there are harder-hitting attacks on Lt. Watada’s actions than from someone who resorts to simple namecalling.
