I certainly hope so

So Cindy Sheehan and a bunch of moonbat celebrities have decided to go on a hunger strike in a misguided attempt to bring our troops home?

Didn’t Saddam Hussein and some of his cronies in Gitmo try the same tacticts? Isn’t it funny how these moonbat lefties always seem to be reading from the same strategy page as our nation’s greatest enemies?

I can only hope that Cindy & Friends are as serious about their hunger strike as our Military men and women are about their mission in Iraq. As badly as Cindy & Friends want our troops home, our troops’ resolve to stay and and finish their mission is even stronger.

“Now it is time to bring the pain and suffering of war home. We are putting our bodies on the line for peace.”

Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan know a thing or two about “putting their bodies on the line for peace” (and freedom). In fact, they believe in their mission so strongly, that they are willing to die when they put their bodies on the line.

Surely, Cindy & Friends have the resolve and conviction of their principles equal to that of our soldiers. Don’t they?

If so, I hope that their hunger strike plays out to the same degree of dedication and commitment that our troops are willing to endure. After all, they are “putting their bodies on the line”.

  • The Storms Blog has two questions about the “rolling hunger strike”:
  1. Is there some sort of giant phone tree that these people are using to call the next person who’s supposed to be hungry for a day?
  2. If there really are 2,700 people passing on their hunger, one each day, doesn’t that mean your day would come up about every 7 1/2 years?

Yeah. That doesn’t sound like they’re very commited to me either.

I don’t think hunger strike means what you think it means — they forgo solid foods. Impressive, huh?
